I am sure that they only want to attack terrorists. Sometimes God's will causes things that we do not understand immediately, such as Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers, only to be put in a position where he could save his family at a later date. If he had not been sold into slavery (which seems to be an evil act to some) he would not have been in a position to help those he loves.

The war on terror is absolute bullshit and I hope that reason and love takes a hold of the hearts of the west, and we stop not only the killing, but the oppression and exploitation which created terrorists in the first place. You don't consider that these peoples deaths are essential to the unfolding of God's plan.

 

I am something of a pantheist, therefore I believe that every person who died in the terrorist attacks of september 11, or those that followed March 18th, 2003, had the God-spirit in them. No, I do not believe that God has a specific plan, rather I believe in the common good of all man, which is absolutly incompatible with this ultra-capitalist neoliberal hegemony that dominates the world. Terrorism is a side-effect of US (and Russian and Israeli for that matter) imperialism. I say let the WTO and the World bank be destroyed swiftly and permenantly, then you will see a more equal, and less violent humankind. To strike back at terrorists (they do not belong to any nation, and the very term itself is ambiguous, why not bomb the hell out of McVeigh's village?) is complete and sheer folly, and will only result in one thing: More terrorism, both in the east and in the west.

By the way, according to Islam, there will still be ample christians abound when Jesus returns, however, when Christians seek refuge under Jesus' protection, he will tell them that they were wrong to worship him as God, and that belongs to God and God alone, who is indivisible. Christians will then be sent to the final prophet by Jesus himself, and Muhammed will offer them the way of God. That is the abridged version of what Islam teaches Jesus' return will be like....more or less.

And while it is certainly true that not just the Muslim World, but, well, the whole world, has a lot of serious problems, those problems are not going to go away just because too many people don't want to know any better than to indulge in ignorance, fear, hatred, violence and so on.

There were some 'roundabout' answers but if I have this right - Isa returns only after all the nations of the world are brought under the House of Islam.

See, what most people dont understand is that Islam is different than other religions including the ones its based on.

Example: In the original Gospels we see a prophecy that Jesus returns only after his message has spread to the four corners of the Earth.
Meaning: Only after all people on Earth have the opportunity to know and read the Gospels.
Ok.

Muhammeds version is an entirely different concept. He has Isa returning after all the Nations themselves submit to the authority of the Koran.
This does not mean that everyone in the USA, personally converts to Islam (as pointed out) but it means that the USA 'as a Nation' will submit its final authority to the Koran and the Laws and Lifestyle it prescribes.
[Christians and Jews 'under the house of Islam' will still exist but will pay tax to support Islam, will not be allowed to evangelise and in that sense will be 'submitting' to Islam too]
