Theres a little place in Coogee that does those vietnamese roll things They have this fried pork dim sim roll, three dim sims mashed in a sandwich with the usual onions carrots greens, soy sauce and that vietnamese pate stuff OMFG multiple mouth orgasms There are plenty of these kind of shops around, but this one in particular, beside baking their own bread, make their own dim sim For me, that is the Ultimate Sandwich
I'm more of a traditionalist. Give me some ham, turkey, pepperoni, onion, garden grown tomato, banana peppers, real lettuce and not that iceberg shit, salt pepa n oregano, and oil and vinegar and I'm good. On rye bread.
Coogee? Where the fuck is that, and where the fuck do you Aussie's get place names like this? The sandwich sounds heavenly though.
i think i'd rather have a bowl of noodles then any kind of sammich. i do like odd forms and flavors of bread and try to avoid the most common ones entirely. lots of meat and lots of different kinds of produce. for meat, cow, chicken, most kinds of fish, without the bones, or some wild meats. pork and pork products are a good thing to avoid because they're too close to canablism. also its good to not have meat all the time, but not so good to not ever have it. for vegies i avoid iceberg, use spinich leaves instead, also avoid onions, white or red. raw tomatoe is ok, but not too much or often. mushrooms cooked or raw are good, and a good meat substitute. guac is good in samich. avacado chuncs in noodles. as is nori. i generally avoid beans, but rice is ok. not on bread though. never starch on starch. one form in a meal only. i guess you could say i'm not much of a sanwich person. i don't even have bread in the house all the time. soft tortillas, pita, 'hawian rolls', are as good and often as sliced bread. bagles and toaster muffins. all count the same as bread to me and i make "sammiches" with them, whichever i have when i do. when i want meatless meat that's ok too. but i don't like what they call burger meat in fast food places which is half meat and half soy flower. roast beef at a sub shop is ok, or deli chicken salads. also macaroni or slaw instead of fries, or a salad buffette. buffettes are wonderful and also better then sammiches. understandably more expensive, because they're kind of wasteful. make my own, 10, 20 times as often as eat somewhere else.
I live in Perth and this sounds great. Can you tell me the name of this fine establishment? There was a place in the CBD called rolls that did a similar thing with pork, chilli sauce, pate and the veg.
It has been speculated by Lode that all aussie accents originated from wombat rapings. I however think it has to do with the hole in the ozon layer.
do you stuff the cheese inside the pickle before deep frying it? or after? squid are good deep fried. just the tubes, after removing all the insides, which is really easy.
I love bread and i love many different kinds of sandwiches.....one of the greatest inventions ever....as long as it is not a trick question and you also mean people sandwiches. i say no to that kind.
I dont know about frying the pickle (wow does that ever sound like an innuendo) But a cheese and pickle sandwich thats then fried, thats a good one
Deep fried pickles are amazing you should try them. They normally come with some sort of creamy dill or garlic sauce. They are the only greasy bar food I like besides poutine.
