I’m 5’7 with an athletic build, packing 4.5” flaccid and 7” erect, (5.5” girth) making it 10.4% of my total height.

I think you are right on this. I have seen men naked in school or gym showers and in spas, and a few with erect cocks, and porn is unrepresentative.

I had to grin at one poster's description of flaccid using the term"it turtles". How very descriptive a term for many of us, especially on a cold day! And after 50yrs or so, very much so. From anatomy and physiology teaching, the average length erect is 6" (as seems to being borne out in the survey). As to flaccid, that's an individual and constantly variable deal.

As to the lady-folk opinions, be nice to get a few offered here. From my reading, only the first 2-3" of a vagina have most of the nerves, and thickness is a more interesting factor. Some, however, feel the need for "cervix massage" and other "activities".

Here’s another question that bears on this topic — what fraction of men do you expect are completely truthful when answering a penis-size survey? I mean, if you measure it to be 5.75”, how likely are you to simply round up? How many do you suppose would round up from 5.5”? And who among us would ever admit that it’s no bigger than a breakfast sausage when fully erect, if that were its true size?

 

Lester, that's constantly a problem with "self-reported" academic surveys. But here on Hip, it seems like most guys seem to be comfortable enough with the group to fork over straight-up (oops) info. And the reported numbers seem to fit well with the established academic numbers. (Now I used the term "most". There's always gonna be, on any thread, some jokers in the deck. Usually easy to spot.) And one responder's post regarding flaccid as "it turtles". Wow, if that's not HONEST what is?

 

I keep meaning to take a pic of mine next to a tape measure for proof. (Have taken plenty without haha) But also have measured a few times so I know I am reporting accurately.

 

A couple of points here.
First on size . I am sure most guys round up bit I believe most guys are only talking a 1/2 inch or so. For me as I got older it used to be a solid inch longer . So in my case why lie.
Second as far as size with a women. I had conversations with women. Some say if the just want to get fucked hard ,it is the biggest the better. Some say if they want a long orgasm then it more about how and not how long. Most have said they have cum more time having someone performing oral sex . They say most guys cum in 3 to 4 minutes once they start fucking hard.
