The Ukraine Crisis Part 2 . The Battle for the Donbas

There seems to be a lot of "falling down" going on in Russia... Odd that Putin wasn't near a 5th floor window at the time.

 

The news says he's suffering from pancreatic cancer and Parkinson's. I can imagine he'll eventually have to step down, but in the meantime he's doing a lot of damage.

 

In his weakened state he might try to show the world he’s still strong and in control by detonating a tactical nuke – let’s hope his generals ignore any such orders given

 

It is a dump of shells & rockets which fell on the city of Kharkiv.

Win or lose, the history books are gonna remember this guy as one of history's greatest military leaders. Starting from the now legendary "I don't need a ride, I need ammo" -comment he made when the Americans offered to evacuate him from Kyiv. What a chad!

My God, please let this be real.

Magic can be always found in the most amazing places and even during the most difficult times.
Recently a missile hit the territory of our studio. And we are really lucky because we made it just in time and we are still alive.
In the intervals between volunteering, we found the strength and the chance to do what we love and keep the fire of rock’n’roll. In order not to go crazy and not to lose our hearts, we got the idea to hide in the basement of one of Kyiv’s industrial buildings not far from the studio. There we recorded this video to support all Ukrainians suffering from this terrible war.
We only had 1.5 hours to prepare and record. Immediately after the air raid alert stopped, we turned on the lights and guitar amps, and filmed the video in one take on a mobile phone. We didn't have the time or space to polish and mix the material, so we had to literally do it all “on the back of a napkin”.
Everything is damp, on torn ligaments and without embellishment. The three most important tracks that carry the message of mutual aid, peace and love.
We know that many have already spoken about this, but most have not heard. Therefore, we return now and we will speak again. Only together we can stop the war. In the name of love.
Portion of the proceeds from streaming will go into supporting children and families of internal refugees, who currently live in orphanages, which are in our direct protection.

russia has supposedly managed to round up 300,000 troops, and according to Major-General Andriy Kovalchuk of Ukraine, russians might try to storm Kyiv again in another attack from the north come next year. Maybe as early as January.

I think you all should know that the Russian government has suddenly taken a keen interest in the Hip Forums. First time I've seen this bot.

Yandex used to index us, but they're now located outside Russia.

Could it be that they don't like our discussions about the war, or that they're now monitoring and blocking their citizens from the site....?

Here's a hopeful sign, though Putin claims the Russians have wanted to negotiate all along while it's Ukraine and its allies who are unwilling to discuss terms. Putin says Russia ready to negotiate over Ukraine | Reuters

 

True, but at least now it appears he realizes the price is too high and he's ready to talk. Of course talking won't accomplish anything unless he's prepared to make concessions.

 

There will be none. He wants the whole thing on his terms alone, which we already know are unacceptable. And knowing who he is, he's just gonna try again after a few years, when the rus military has had time to recover. This is the type of person who we're dealing with.
