I feel you man, I'm in the same boat. I can't even afford my rent muchless my internet bill and phone bill. If I loose my place then I'm really fucked. Are sidewalks cozy? If I had the cash, I'd donate. Good luck you 2!
thanks man! i totally feel ya on the money thing... obviously we don't wanna be living on the streets in toronto... or having to ship me back home because i don't have money to immigrate. but who knows, maybe i'll convice him to move to hawaii with me and we can be homeless on the beach and in the forests hehe just kidding
I'm sorry but this post is the saddest excuse for 'working for what you want' I have ever seen. This post, in itself, makes your relationship look like a piece of cheese...and not the good kind. I am not going to provide a list of such cheese types as I feel that would take up too much of your time reading, which I'm sure could be more wisely appropriated towards your second job; somehting at the Beer Store perhaps? I'm sounding harsh yeah, but I have spent a small lifetime living in Toronto and it is, without question, the beggingest city I have ever lived in or visited. Reading this post makes me feel like I am walking down Yonge. Serisouly this begging attitude has been encultured in the youth of Toronto.
thank you to everybody who has helped us out. we're in the process of moving dangermoose down here so that i can finish school and then move back up to canada. we're both on an apartment lease right now for 6 months and we found a really good deal and have money saved up to pay for the entire 6 months... we're planning on getting married during thsoe six months also, though a date has not been set. frankly, this depends on the trouble getting over the border... ideally we'll have a nice wedding in june or july... but it may be sooner. anyway, thanks again for all the help, and we'll be spending lots of money on immigration papers in both countries now... lol. (since dangermoose will be staying here for a couple years as a permanent resident) we really appreciate those who have helped out for nothing, or for something we made for them, and i hope you don't regret your helping us either.
thats amazing! good luck you two, and tell me when the wedding will be and i'll haul my ass over with plenty o headdy gifts
Wait up, you do realise that it'll take most of that first year just to get him a permanent resident visa? If you're lucky?
yeah, and we also realize that he can stay here while it's pending as long as we marry here. we're gonna be here for a few years most likely and then move on up to canada. the paperwork's gonna be a bitch but as long as we're together it'll be bearable. thanks gruven
yes but it does qualify him to apply for a work visa... we've spoken to lawyers, we're not going into this blindly.
