apparently the strawberry fields orphanage in england that inspired the great tune we all know by the beatles is closing... http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apeurope_story.asp?category=1103&slug=Britain%20Strawberry%20Fields
Hmmm... I always thought the song was named after a type of LSD... or... it could have been vice versa.
thats sad to hear. To be honest i never knew there was one, but now that I know of it and now its gone, i already miss it
now what's even stranger... and i'm telling the whole truth...a good 4 minutes after i posted this, the song came on my media player, which is on random with like 4400 songs... hmm...
lol... I have so many on mine... well, I use Imesh radio station, I have about 7,000 songs on there... It just came on right when I just came to young hippies from when I came from performing arts which is even odder... or, pure coincidence.
I havent listened to that song today, my random picked out "i am the walrus"... close as i will get today
i have worked at strawberry fields .yes it is true (in a sense).it is to close down as a childrens home (internally).but i think everyone can rest assure that the building and grounds will stay intact. it is part of our heritage here in liverpool,. STRAWBERRY FIELDS WILL LIVE FOREVER
