Yeah, actually I have a family member near my age (late 20's) who is hospitalized and critically ill--humbling and a good reminder that this disease isn't just a disease for the elderly. Another is not hospitalized any more but still very sick (older, per-existing conditions).

There are roughly 3 places i regularly visit these days: coffeeshop, supermarket/grocery store and the market (kind of a farmers market).
In a lot of busier cities here the outside markets are temporarily gone because it became apparent social distancing was impossible there. But in my city its going ok :)

Wow, late twenties.. Took notice of such cases enough to be convinced of the serious risks for everyone. But not in my direct surroundings so far. Hey, hope the place (s)he's in can still manage the pressure! Then there's a relative good chance they will eventually get out and recover :)

I'm dowtown. So the few times i saw a line outside the supermarket I just strolled on to another one. I now know where the least chance on a line is.
Btw: the first hours after opening here are for old people only atm :) So they too can normally grocery shop at their own speed without being pressured by us younglings :p :-D

I have a friend in her 70s who comes to the cafe in the village every day and I know she must be missing that social life. I texted her when I was first back and I am planning to give her a call soon.

My Dad went to High School in the Virgin Islands, that's a trip to me. It seems so remote and very different. I think he mostly got along with the native islanders but he makes it seem like they were way more confrontational than the impression you might get about Jamacians listening to a Bob Marley record. Granted different area, although I think Jamaica has it's share of issues too.

I was waiting in line at a grocery store for maybe 20 minutes. Just ahead of me was a really, really old dude with a cane. He could barely hold himself up-he had to lean on the building. I was annoyed that others in the line weren't letting him get in front of them. Come on people.

I've reached out to my multiple parents, two favorite cousins, favorite auntie. Misty's best friend Shell, whom had a EF1 tornado March 29th wave to her in Potosi, WI.

All my dance partners have reached out accept for one. I think today's a great sunny day to reach out to her. She's a medical scientist so I'm sure she's been busy af.

    Otherwise everyone's in great health.

I guess depends on the person. I don't do it often. But I'm stoked about the group thing, it will feel like quite the party after this life of solitude lol

I've got this thing about video chat. The person speaking should LOOK INTO THE LENS. it is the only way to get ANY form of eye contact, even if just one way. Usually everyone is looking at the picture of the person they speaking to.

Look into lens while speaking, with glances at the other person to see facial reactions. That is the way to get closest to face to face.
