Thinking about listening to this 17 goddamn minute new Bob Dylan song. It sort of feels like a major committment though

I like his music, but the way he's acted sometimes...he strikes me as a pompous, stuck up asshole.

Dylan's voice is like fingernails on a blackboard.... Sorry, but somebody had to say it.

If I had been on the Nobel Committee I would have withdrawn my vote to give Dylan the prize for literature because of his repeated discourteous behaviour.

"His performance [at a private ceremony in Stockholm] was met with a cheering crowd, which gave repeated standing ovations, especially when he played a harmonica. Dylan was tightlipped between songs and made no mention whatsoever about the Nobel prize.

"Lars Sjoblom, a 65-year-old sound and light technician, said he had grown up with Dylan’s music but was “greatly surprised” he had not said anything. “I came here to listen to what he had to say about the Nobel Foundation and to the Swedish people,” Sjoblom said. “I think he could have shown Sweden the respect to say 'thank you'.”

"Dylan kept silent for weeks after he was announced as the winner and when he was asked at the time why he did not respond to the Academy’s calls, he told Britain’s Daily Telegraph: “Well, I’m right here.”"

Bob Dylan finally accepts Nobel prize in literature at private ceremony in Stockholm

I turned the new song off about 5 minutes in. It's awful.
I read the lyrics instead and they're amazing. He should just stick to writing poetry at this point.

Also there used to be a really good live version of Dylan and Johnny Cash doing Girl From the North Country on the tube of you and now it's gone. I'm pissed!

My theory is that growing old fucked him up.
He was really in love with his own youth.
    He couldn't handle getting old.

I thought that thing was funny a few years ago when he was accused of copying his paintings from Google images. Haha. I love him though.

Ratms cover is great. Masters of war is vastly superb in its original version imo! Love his voice and delivery there
