come now you are a comedian …..you have to work hard for a laugh......the others were a lead up to the big finish …..also there is a reason for the traditional comedy club 2 drink minimum
That's right! Pho is pronounced fuh! Lol!!! I didn't know for a long time. I kept saying "foe" even after I found out for a little bit.
Somebody left somebody all alone Somebodies dog never made it back home Sometimes hope sinks like a stone Keep your head up, keep your head up Keep your head up and go on Some don't even know when the sun goes down Can't see nothin', staring at the ground How you gone know when something good comes 'round? Keep your head up, keep your head up And go on.
I am quite a fan of King's also...but veered, have veered (something) more toward Koontz at times in the past, and (not to sound sappy) have even benefited personally from some of Koontz work. I know that sounds maybe ridiculous, but its true. That being said, I've been reading more King in the last 6 months because I'm catching up and he is most prolific, as you said. It took him a minute or two (inho) for him to get his feet back under him (with his books) after being drug by that van and almost killed. I have a lot of respect for both men for different reasons . And King does have these great series...his latest one about Mr. Mercedes was great. I just read the sequel to The Shining...Doctor Sleep and it was great. Seriously the man got some ideas and some words. As you can see below I LOVED Koontz Watchers...and would recommend it to anyone that wants to read one fiction book. ______________________________________________ You are missing out on a truly wonderful reading experience if you don't read "Watchers" by Koontz. For real. This should be required reading for all people that want to hope and the reader has a heart. It's one of those rare books I've read more than once....I've even looked it up and it is, If not THE most popular book by Koontz, it is in the top 5. Watchers is also one of his older books. You HAVE to read the conclusion to the Odd Thomas series - Saint Odd I think it is. It is wonderful. You'll be missing out if you don't read or pick up where you left off in that series. So...go out and buy Watchers and put you an Odd Thomas Series together. I seriously <3 my books. When one of my good authors writes a series, I'll have to read it.
@Faelixx My elbow was out of joint...and the ignoramous that glanced at the x-ray says its "just out of the socket. I'll pop it back in". That did NOT feel good...and it did not "just pop back in". More like he forced it. Well, it kept hurting and kept hurting like I imagine brimstone from hell would hurt! So, I go back THAT NIGHT and say I think I'm gonna die...that pop./forcing it back didn't help. The doctors and nurses looked at each other in amazement. Finally someone ELSE with fresh eyes looked at the x-ray and saw a fracture all the way across the top of the elbow ball - whatever that's called. Luckily when he "snapped" it all back in place, everything snapped together. I got a long, hard cast and had to wear it longer than the usual 6 weeks...I remember that also. Afterwards, I went to physical therapy to try and help me get (any) movement back in my arm. I had about a 30 to 40 degree of movement after it healed/the cast was taken of. Then their physical therapy did NO GOOD! Regular swimming all summer is what got my arm back as normal as it is. If your elbow is broken it looks like they would want it stabilized and protected more than to put it in a sling. I wish you could get another opinion without it costing anything. Lord God.
I glad you benefited from some of koontz work, can’t say I benefited from King’s beyond the fact that I live here in New England, the setting of many of his novels In recent years I’ve read 11/22/63, The Outsiders. The Institute, Mr Mercedes, Finders Keepers, Revival:A Novel Regarding Koontz, I also remember reading his novel Darkfall, about the voodoo priest who sought revenge against the people who killed his brother. Loved it but then again I was reading it through the eyes and mind of an 12 year old, so I’m not sure if it would hold up today through the lens of an adult mind.
