I discovered a 20g packet of dried Peruvian Torch Cactus in my mum's attic. I'd stashed it up there 5-7 years ago and forgotten about it. Now it's in my kitchen cabinet awaiting consumption. I would like to throw it all into a frying pan with some butter and add a bit of lemon or just microwave and add lemon. Then I'd feed it to my pretend friend, Mr Cactus Chomper. Would this work? I've read about more complex methods but for me simplicity is always preferable if it works well enough. This will probably be his first and last trip, if it even works. I know you can buy potted cacti online but I've read that they don't produce much mescaline in temperate climes and putting on a south facing bathroom window in the UK is probably not going to do it, though maybe putting in the fridge overnight will help create an effective temperature swing?
