Within the Good, Bad and at times Visually off-putting world of Movies there is often that one scene that makes and/or sometimes breaks the film - going down as one that people will always remember
Feel free to post your own - preferably with a comment.
I'll start things off with the Classic scene from Psycho and that shower scene

The Art of Music and Camera angles to give the impression of, but not what, you saw

The scene that transfers our “Yesterday’s ” to the possibilities of “Tomorrow” – even if 2001 was ‘all those years ago’ now

The music and the dance trivializes the tortorous act

Apocalypse Now - From the Clarion bugle call to charge, the focus and formation line-up for the job, the quiet, sereneness of the village setting, the build-up of musical announcement like that those from older warfare, the clinical, merciless and unsympathetic despatching of delivery –ending with an iconic line (albeit cut out part way through this clip)

Damn near every scene in Repo Man was hilarious and edited artfully by not dragging scenes out long enough to blunt the effect of the scene.

Godfather: (I) whilst there were many, this was for me the most memorable one never wants to piss off a Corleone, lest they wish to see their prize stallion left permanently in the stables – or in this case, under the bedsheet

Alien: - Nearly forty years have passed but the scene that captured the imagination and begin the franchise. Though the Alien scurrying away may seem somewhat comical now, the shock value of a renowned actor like Hurt exiting stage left in such a horrific manner had quite a shock value.

This might be the first ever mini gun "featured"in a movie like Predator.
The mini gun was it's own character.

This scene of Flash Gordon rocked with everything. Brian May's thrashin' guitar solo. Roger Taylor's beatin' drums. Valtan's big mouth laughter as he pushes off Ming's soldiers
    Lazers and sparks

I remember watching Avatar and spending the first half of the film mocking the clichéd predictable script then the scene with the tree getting cut down happened and it made me cry.
