Post your favourite kind of sausage, and how you like it.

I will post all about Brtish sausages, also known as bangers.

    British sausage
Great Britain is a historic sausage eating country, with more than 400 different kinds of sausage produced nationally. The British consume millions of sausages every day and we even raise special kinds of pigs to produce the right kind of pork.

British sausages are sometimes called bangers because back then, sausageshad a habit of bursting open while cooking. ... This is the reason why people calledthem bangers, it was a slang term that they used to refer to sausages, because bang is exactly what they would when you cooked them.

I've lived along the Virginia-North Carolina border where they are famous for raising pigs, and they used to feed them peanuts all the time, which makes the meat so tender it falls off your fork. This is the classic southern breakfast if you want to die happy. Any kind of pork you want, you will find it in the area and they are famous for pork BBQ, but Kansas city BBQ is widely recognized as the best. There are so many all you can eat BBQ places you get sick of BBQ after awhile.

Looks delicious. Never known pigs to be fed peanuts. I knew I would learn something new today.

The British are famous for modernizing animal husbandry, all things great and small and all that, but George Washington Carver's school is in central Virginia. :)

It looks like they modernized it and made it bigger, but Carver established schools for black kids in several states, who had no real access to public education and his kids loved to help him with his work. :)

He was black, so his memory has not survived as long as it would have if he were white, but he was a southern gentlemen if there ever was one.

I like mine with a kick, cooked on the grill. Chappell Hill Smoked Jalapeno Sausage. Made in Chappel Hill, Tx, not far from Houston.
