I have no issue with a Christian source. I do feel reading their site and views that they can in no way be considered unbiased. :)

It is unfortunate that this did occur and there is no excuse for it.

Not all though have these events happen to them.

I went from treatment for pneumonia to stage 4 lung cancer. I had xrays, bronchosopy, 2 respirologists, thoracic surgeon, cat scan bone scan, stress test, MRI, 2 oncologists, radiation oncologist, radiation tattoos, cardiologist, social workers and support teams, to treatment, chemo and radiation within six weeks. With success. So while there are problems, there is also good care in most cases.

No my mom is dead. The thing is... they say if you are going to have cancer colon cancer is the kind you want to have... slowest to spread.

When she was finally told and got an oncologist he said, you had this for at least 10 years and he knew it started in the colon. By the time she was told she died in less than a year. End of November she found out and dead in September, it was everywhere. 63 years old. Too soon. Didn't have to happen at all. And the treatment she received was too little too late.

there are more I know of who have had similar experiences. This is not an isolated incidence

^^^ oh my. That is so sad and I'm so very very sorry. That this could have been treated and possibly (probably) been avoided had she been told is sickening.

I'm sorry about your mom too.

My uncle died from colon cancer so my family is big on colonoscopies. I remember reading recently they can now take a feces sample instead of doing a colonoscopy and detect cancer with the same accuracy. Thats wonderful.

I'm a big fan of preventative care. Colonoscopies, pap smears, skin screenings, breast checks. With healthcare being the way it is the best thing any of us can do for ourselves is eat right, exercise, and get preventative checks. My insurance sucks but it does cover all preventative care 100% at least.

I get colonoscopies every two years. I have done the fecal sample... nothing like pooping on a paper plate and collecting poop. Lol. I think I should be paid for collecting it myself. :). But see.,. Colonoscopies are covered. I had to pay 150 dollars for them to test my poo. You have to be really diligent here.

I am going for a walk,

I am sure that the George Washington Bridge is paid for too. But the bridge toll was recently increased its around $15 for a round trip.

Your monies are used for other purposes in the organization. These quasi governmental corporations, like hospitals, can find all kinds of uses for your payments.

Around here there is a surgery center in a retail strip mall. Doctors set it up to escape high hospital fees.

A family member went for a hospital surgery. The same doctor did 17 operations that day. There was a tele-screen showing the progress of his patients, it looked like an airport arrivals screen.

Doc said he has to cram them all in to support the daily rental charges he pays for the hospital operating room
