There was a recent discussion on HF about "synthetic marijuana" - now closed, I guess because the OP became overwrought and just kept saying the same thing over and over. Still, it's worth looking at, as there is an ever-growing number of variations of these ill-named and powerful drugs. They ARE NOT "synthetic marijuana," obviously. In reading about them, I realize that a lot of ground has been covered since jwh-018, which actually can be good (in small amounts).

Several of us on this forum are of the opinion that sooner, not later, these changing substances and formulations will lead to disaster - not just in "synth mj," but in RCs in general. What a concept: unknown drugs with unknown effects other than it'll fuck you up in unknown amounts field-tested by (mostly) young males with not a lot of sense and zero backup in case anything goes wrong.

Anyway, I could blather on endlessly... here is an excellent piece on what happened in Portugal when the commie liberal Eurotrash pinkos decriminalized all drugs (hint, overall use decreased; bath salts not a big seller; ODs waaaaay down; etc.)

I agree with what what I believe to be the principle you are trying to convey here. It is always a good thing to know exactly what your getting, and what effects it will have upon your mind. It would also be nice to have some sort of of legal obligations pertaining to the manufacturing process, you know, purity, and what inpurities are present and at what levels, because you know, those things could be active themselves. Basically all we're asking for is good science, some common sense, all the things you would expect to be behind any other product in demand. Possibly even --oh god no!-- some regulation! I guess that's probably too much to ask though, isn't it?

I didn't know it was closed. I've just noticed. Are you talkin' about synthetic weed turning into something very different after it was banned?
