Rape and slaughter of German civilians by the Red army, 1945. (look it up for yourself - it involved multiple crucifixions) It goes on without the excuse of 'religion'. We are all aware of the deficiencies of militant Islaism, but that doesn't at all legitimate any other religion, ideology, philosophy, theory of logic or anything else.
This thread is about islamic terrorism, not about communism. Stick to the topic. If you want we can discuss this in an another thread. Also what do have to say about this ....... The Islamic legal manual ‘Umdat al-Salik, which carries the endorsement of Al-Azhar University, the most respected authority in Sunni Islam, stipulates: “When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman’s previous marriage is immediately annulled.” Why? So that they are free to become the concubines of their captors. The Qur’an permits Muslim men to have intercourse with their wives and their slave girls: “Forbidden to you are ... married women, except those whom you own as slaves” (Sura 4:23-24).
Forget it Nicole. We all come up with excuses to keep ourselves from seeing our own deficiencies. This is as effective as any. This is why I chose to ignore him. The more we respond the more vehemently he will state the same tired incoherent arguments. You might also a note the hypocrisy of one who starts a thread about islam in a hinduism telling others to stick to the topic, or doesn't think twice to throw up scriptural references to barbarism in other religions while conviniently ignoring the same in his own. Don't feed the trolls, and eventually they go away.
I think I've made my views oin Islam pretty clear - like all the world's religions it is useless in this age. All it can do is repeat the abuses of the past, very much like Hinduism with the caste system. However, in it's militant aspect it is no worse than many other groups who seek by violence to impose their agenda on others. One such group historically were communists - they'e still finding the graves in Columbia today of victims of the left wing militias. In Stalin's time, there was a lot of opression and mass murder of muslims in various parts of the old USSR. Now, with your knowledge of the laws of karma, put two and two together, and see if your very logical brain can see the connection.
And do you know about the guru teg bahadurs assassination and torture of his disciples as well. I don't think so. This thread of mine is dedicated to the memory of the millions of victims of islamic terrorism all over the world, and to bring justice to each one of them , and to make sure their pain and suffering was not in vain. The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it - Albert Einstein
You truly are a hypocrite, indulging in the tamasic vitaanda. If you check my posts in other threads, you can clearly see my criticizing hindu so-called gurus and practices and other stuff. I have also criticized Iskcon itself and some of their idiotic leaders as well. You choose to ignore me, because you have no logical replies to my arguments and hence conveniently made an exit even though you keep reading the posts in this thread, and came back when you found a good opportunity to put me down.Typical nature of a fox . And so you are saying that the atrocities committed on the bahais, zoroastrians, sikhs, hindus, jains, buddhists, assyrians, in Asia, and against other religions and nations by islamic terrorists are 'same tired incoherent arguments.' Coming from you I am not surprised. To commit sins is a major sin, but to ignore and condone sinning is the biggest sin of all. Look whos talking about hypocrisy. Thats a laugh. Anyway I have started this thread on Vivekananda's teaching on the origin of Islamic terrorism, and hence it deserves to be on this forum. And I have stated others to stick to the topic, and also that if they want to discuss other related topics they can do it on an another thread and I am happy to debate with them. Where is the hypocrisy in this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And as for the barbarism in my own religion or religions, I have as stated before, criticized them as well. You only need to check my posts in other threads for this.
And while I have criticized the caste system, I have also stated that the caste system has no sanction in the vedas. I have clearly explained in posts to you in other threads about the work done by all hindu enlightened masters belonging to all castes and hindu spiritual organisations to eradicate caste discrimination. The caste system is a social institution like the feudal system , and it is already banned in India 60 years back, and the remnant of it is being eradicated as well. And Hinduism as taught by the rishis, Shankara, Ramanuja, Vivekananda, Ramakrishna, Paramahamsa Yogananda, Sree Narayana Guru and others, all of whom have worked for the upliftment of the lower castes,is definetely important for the world. Same with Islam. If moderate muslims eradicate the violent verses in the quran or at least teach their community about what these verses have done, and emphasize the peaceful verses instead, a lot of good will indeed come out of it and will help to destroy islamic terrorism. I had a tryst with communism myself when I was young, and hence I know very well that Stalins purges were not muslim-centric, but also included Jews, Christians and marxists themselves who opposed him. It is a well-known joke that if Karl Marx have lived in Russia during Stalins time,he too would have been sent to the concentration camps.
Persecution of the Buddhists by Islamic terrorists http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Buddhists The Mahabodhi Movement in 1890s held the Muslim Rule in India responsible for the decay of Buddhism in India. Anagarika Dharamapala did not hesitate to lay the chief blame for the decline of Buddhism in India at the door of Muslim fanaticism. Dr. B. R.Ambedkar stated Islam as the major behind the decline of Buddhism in India. Several central asian buddhist nations was also destroyed by islamic fundamentalists. The recent destruction of the giant Bamiyan Buddhist statues in Afghanistan ( which clearly shows a flourishing buddhist civilization in Afghanistan prior to Islamic invasion) by the Taliban is the latest in terms of vandalism by islamic fundamentalists, and which was condemned by the whole world.
Persecution of the Jains by Islamic terrorists Islamic fundamentalists persecuted the adherents of the Jain religion , even though theirs is a noble religion that advocates strict non-violence towards all beings, including animals, even in the face of aggression. They were persecuted by the Islamic fundamentalists, especially during the times of Jahangir and Aurangzeb and Shivaji, the great Indian king and warrior , who fought against the Mughal imperialism in central India, protested against the persecution of the Jains by Aurangzeb. There is evidence of a large number of Jain temples being destroyed in the Muslim invasions of southern Bihar and Jharkhand as well as of western and northern Bengal, during the thirteenth and subsequent centuries in India.
Check this out. (Times of India , 22-4-07) Jihadist video shows boy beheading man A video circulating in pakistan records the grisly death of a militant accused of betraying a top taliban official who was killed in a december airstrike in Afghanistan. The executioner, a boy, who looks barely 12, denounces the blindfolded man before him as a US spy, before hacking off his head to cries of 'God is great' and hoists it in triumph by the hair. The soundtrack features songs praising TAliban supreme leader Mullah Omar and "Sheikh Osama"-an apparent reference to Osama bin Laden, who is suspected of hiding along the Afghan-Pakistan border. The footage shows Nabi making what is described as a confession, being blindfolded with a checkered scarf. "He is an american spy. Those who do this kind of thing will get this kind of fate," says his baby-faced executioner, who is not identified. A continuous 2 1/2- minute shot then shows the victim lying on his side on a patch of rubble-strewn ground. A man holds Nabi by his beard while the boy, wearing a camouflage military jacket and oversized white sneakers , cuts into the throat. The film , overlain with jihadi songs, then shows the boy hacking and slashing at the man's neck until the head is severed. http://doctorbulldog.wordpress.com/2007/04/21/young-taliban-beheads-ghulam-nabi/ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=450564&in_page_id=1811 You can very well imagine the situation in islamic society where a tender child of barely 12 has no problems whatsoever in repeatedly chopping off the neck of a fellow human being, severing it, and holding it up by the hair in triumph. In this context , the words of the austrian officer who witnessed the nauseating torture and killing of the bahais by islamic fundamentalists come to my mind.( as shown in my previous posts) It is high time , the world understand the great danger and threat that islamic terrorism poses to civilization and mankind, or other wise we risk repeating all the atrocities committed by islamic terrorists ever since the 7th century A.D. and the destruction of the zoroastrian empire and civilization. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is an another jihadi report in the same newspaper....... Want to sing and dance, go to India : Pak cleric Islamabad: A radical Islamic cleric in Pakistan has said that dance and music would not be permitted in the country and those interested in the same should go to India. " We will not wait more..... it will now be Sharia(law) or shahadat (martyrdom),"said Maulana Abdul Aziz, one of the clerics of Lal Masjid, which has threatened to impose the strict Islamic law in a months time in Islamabad. Suring his Friday prayer sermon, he said those interested in dance and music should go to India, reports said. Aziz vowed to enforce Sharia in the country even if the government did not itself do so, saying the "Sharia will be enforced at any cost, for which the whole nation should support the mosque's management. " Indian music and films are very popular among pakistani muslim youth and they adore them. It probably gives them some joy in a society plagued by suicide bombings, nauseating violence and sheer insecurity. Young people all over the world wants to enjoy their life and have some innocent healthy fun, and research has shown that this is very important for social bonding and for both mental, emotional ,social and physical health. Celebration of life is very important and a regular feature of all civilized countries. Not so in islamic society where song, dance and having fun is prohibited. Is it any wonder that the youth in these countries become highly emotionally and psychologically repressed and frustrated, and becomes very good raw material in the hands of islamic clerics and fundamentalists to become suicide bombers and jihadists. Hell, life sucks for these guys, but at least ,according to their reasoning, they can have some fun with the 72 virgins and boys in heaven , when they die in jihad.Hence is it any wonder that many young muslims are becoming jihadists and suicide bombers. Its all simple psychology and logic.
Islamic fundamentalism in Holland Theo Van Gogh , the descendant of the famous painter Vincent Van Gogh, and who was known for his portrayal of the violence committed against muslim women in islamic society in the film Submission was brutally murdered in Holland by islamic terrorists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theo_van_Gogh_(film_director) Many rich arabs marry muslim underage girls from poor muslim countries in order to deflower them and after a few days of sexual abuse, conveniently divorce them by saying the islamic word TALAQ three times. This is a frequent occurence in India as well, and not only rich arabs but rich India muslims too do it as well. I know of many muslim girls in south India who have committed suicide after the divorces. Recently a film has been made in India on this matter, about young underage muslim girls marrying muslim men and undergoing sexual abuse and subsequently being divorced. The actress who played the role of the heroine got the best actress award in India. The film , in the malayalam language of south India, is called PADAM ONNU: ORU VILAPAM ( LESSON ONE : A CRY FROM THE HEART). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meera_Jasmine My-Kerala.com: Kerala News All these films and documentaries are putting a lot of pressure on islamic fundamentalists who are keen to prove that islam is a religion of peace, and is very kind to women and girls.
Taslima Nasrin Taslima Nasrin is a heroic muslim woman who is sought after by islamic terrorists and fundamentalists for having the courage to stand up against islamic terrorism and oppression of minorities in islamic socieities. Taslima Nasreen, the author of Lajja was given a death sentence for just stating the facts and speaking against the inhumane, cruel and barbaric nature of Islamic terrorism. She is now in India under protection from Islamic terrorists who have put a bounty on her head for beheading her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taslima_Nasrin
Why are you doing this? Are you just trying to inflame the same hate in others that you yourself seem to have towards Muslims? It's pointless mate.
As I stated before mate, I am condemning Islamic terrrorism , not Islam. And everyone should work against islamic terrorism, in order to bring justice to the millions of victims of islamic terrorism since the 7th century A.D. and to prevent potential victims . The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it - Albert Einstein
At the World's Parliament of Religions, Chicago,11 September 1893 Sisters and brothers of America, It fills my heart with joy unspeakable to rise in response to the warm and cordial welcome which you have given us. I thank you in the name of the most ancient order of monks in the world; I thank you in the name of the mother of religions; and I thank you in the name of the millions and millions of Hindu people of all classes and sects. My thanks also , to some of the speakers on this platform who, referring to the delegates from the Orient, have told you that these men from far-off nations may well claim the honour of bearing to different lands the idea of toleration. I am proud to belong to a religion which has taught the world both tolerance and universal acceptance. We believe not only in universal toleration, but we accept all religions as true. I am proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered the persecuted of all religions and all nations of the earth. I am proud to tell you that we have gathered in our bosom the purest remnant of the Israelites, who came to southern India and took refuge with us in the very year in which their holy temple was shattered to pieces by Roman tyranny. I am proud to belong to the religion which has sheltered and is still fostering the remnant of the grand Zoroastrian nation. I will quote to you, brethren, a few lines from a hymn which I remember to have repeated from my earliest boyhood, which is every day repeated by millions of human beings: 'As the different streams having their sources in different places all mingle their water in the sea, so, O Lord, the different paths which men take through different tendencies , various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to Thee.' The present convention , which is one of the most august assemblies ever held, is in itself a vindication, a declaration to the world, of the wonderful doctrine preached in the Gita: 'Whosoever comes to Me,through whatsoever form, I reach him; all men are struggling through paths which in the end lead to Me.' Sectarianism , bigotry , and its horrible descendant, fanaticism, have long possessed this beautiful earth. They have filled the earth with violence, drenched it often and often with human blood, destroyed civilization, and sent whole nations to despair. Had it not been for these horrible demons, human society would be far more advanced than it is now. But their time is come; and I fervently hope that the bell that tolled this morning in honour of this convention may be the death-knell of all fanaticism , of all persecutions with the sword or with the pen, and of all uncharitable feelings between persons wending their way to the same goal. Swami Vivekananda uttered this above speech on 11 September 1893 in the Parliament of Religions held in Chicago. No sooner had he addressed the assembly as 'Sisters and Brothers of America' than a great wave of enthusiasm went through the audience. They rose to their feet with shouts of applause, as if they had gone mad. Everyone was cheering , cheering and cheering. The Swami was bewildered . For two full minutes he attempted to speak, but the wild enthusiasm of the audience would not allow it. Others had addressed them in the customary manner but Swamiji had touched the deepest chord of their heart by discarding formality and stressing the kinship of all people. After the applause subsided the Swami made a brief speech. When Swamiji had finished and sat down, exhausted with emotion, there was another tremondous ovation. The next day all the papers lionized him as the greatest figure and the best speaker of the Parliament. The unknown young monk became known through out the United States of America and the world. 'His life-size portraits were posted on the roadside in Chicago with his name written beneath it, and many showed reverence to it with bowed heads.' This above speech made by Swami Vivekananda on 11 September 1893 and subsequent speeches as well, catapulted him to world wide fame. And in his first speech itself he condemned bigotry, fanaticism and persecution and consequent bloodshed which according to him had greatly hampered human civilization and culture. And it was 108 years later in this very day 11 September, that Islamic terrorists jammed civilian aeroplanes on the world trade centres and pentagon and crashed an another civilian plane to the ground killing more than 3000 people. 9\11 shocked the world greatly and made the whole world understand with shock and pain the great danger that islamic terrorism poses to humanity and the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11,_2001_attacks
On Vivekananda He is undoubtedly the greatest figure in the Parliament of Religions. After hearing him we feel how foolish it is to send missionaries to this learned nation. ---- The New York Herald. A striking figure, clad in yellow and orange, shining like the sun of India in the midst of the heavy atmosphere of Chicago, a lion head, piercing eyes, mobile lips, movements swift and abrupt - such was my first impression of Swami Vivekananda , as I met him in one of the rooms set apart for the use of the delegates to the Parliament of Religion. Enraptured , the huge multitude hung upon his words; not a syllable must be lost, not a cadence missed! " That man a heathen ! " said one, as he came out of the great hall, " and we send missionaries to his people! It would be more fitting that they send missionaries to us." --Dr. Annie Besant. In his deep voice, he began, 'Sisters and Brothers of America ' -- and the entire audience , many hundred people, clapped and cheered wildly for two minutes....No doubt the vast majority of those present hardly knew why they had been so powerfully moved. The appearance, even the voice, of Vivekananda cannot fully explain it. A large gathering has its own strange kind of subconscious telepathy, and this one must have been somehow aware that it was in the presence of that most unusual of beings, a man whose words express exactly what he is. When Vivekananda said, 'Sisters and Brothers ' he actually meant that he regarded the American women and men before him as sisters and brothers ; the well-known orational phrase became simple truth. ----Christopher Isherwood "To ask you, Swami, for your credentials is like asking the sun about its right to shine." ----Professor John Henry Wright of Harvard University Vivekananda's address before the Parliament was broad as the heaven above us, embracing the best in all religions, as the ultimate universal religion-- charity to all mankind and good works for the love of God, not for fear of punishment or hope of reward. He is a great favourite of the Parliament....If he merely crosses the platform he is applauded........ At the Parliament of Religions they used to keep Vivekananda until the end of the programme to make people stay till the end of the session......The four thousand fanning people in the Hall of Columbus would sit smiling and expectant waiting for an hour or two to listen to Vivekananda for fifteen minutes. The Chairman knew the old rule of keeping the best until the last. ---Boston Evening Transcript The paragon of all Unity systems is the Vedanta philosophy of India , and the paragon of Vedantist missionaries was the late Swami Vivekananda who visited our land some years ago.I have just been reading some of Vivekananda's address in England ,which I had not seen. The man is simply a wonder for oratorical power... the Swami is an honor to humanity. ---- William James, ( Harvard professor, philosopher, psychologist and author.) Aurobindo , the greatest Indian philosopher of the 20th century : The going forth of Vivekananda as the heroic soul destined to take the world between his two hands and change it was the first visible sign that India was awake. ---Aurobindo Vivekananda was a soul of puissance if ever there was one, a very lion among men, but the definitive work he has left behind is quite incommensurate with our impression of his creative might and energy. We perceive his influence still working gigantically, we know not well how, we know not well where, in something that is not yet formed, something leonine, grand, intuitive, upheaving that has entered the soul of India and we say, "Behold, Vivekananda still lives in the soul of his Mother and in the souls of her children. --Sri Aurobindo--1915 in Vedic Magazine. Romain Rolland, the French savant, novelist, essayist and Nobel Prize winner : Vivekananda's words are great music, phrases in the style of Beethoven, stirring rhythms like the march of Handel Choruses. The present leaders of India: Gandhi , Aurobindo, and Tagore, have grown, flowered, and born fruit under the double constellation of the Swan ( Ramakrishna) and the Eagle( Vivekananda) -- a fact publicly acknowledged by Gandhi and Aurobindo. --- Romain Rolland I cannot touch these sayings of his, scattered as they are through the pages of this book at thirty years' distance, without receiving a thrill through my body like an electric shock. And what shock, what transport, must have been produced when, in burning words, they issued from the lips of the hero! --- Romain Rolland "Swami Vivekananda's writings need no introduction from anybody. They make their own irresistible appeal." ---Mahatma Gandhi I have gone through his works very carefully, and after having gone through them, the love that I had for my country became a thousand-fold. ---Mahatma Gandhi I cannot write about Vivekananda without going into raptures. Few indeed could comprehend or fathom him even among those who had the privilege of becoming intimate with him. His personality was rich, profound and complex... Reckless in his sacrifice, unceasing in his activity, boundless in his love, profound and versatile in his wisdom, exuberant in his emotions, merciless in his attacks but yet simple as a child, he was a rare personality in this world of ours. I can go for hours and yet fail to do the slightest justice to that great man . He was so great, so profound , so complex. He was a Yogi of the highest spiritual level in direct communion with the truth , who consecrated his whole life to the moral and spiritual uplift of humanity. ---Subhash Chandra Bose (architect along with Gandhi of India's freedom movement). The qualities I most admire in Vivekananda are his activity, manliness and courage ... He spoke up and acted. For this, all must honor him , who, whatever be their own religious beliefs , value sincerity, truth and courage, which are the badges of every noble character. ---Sir John Woodroffe. If you want to know India, study Vivekananda. In him everything is positive and nothing negative. ---Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel prize winner, philosopher, composer, novelist. Swami Vivekananda will be remembered as one of the most significant figures in the whole history of Indian religion, comparable in importance to such great teachers as Shankara and Ramanuja.Since the days of the Indian missionaries who travelled in south-east Asia and China preaching Buddhism and Hinduism more than a thousand years earlier, he was the first Indian religious teacher to make such an impression outside India. ---Arthur Llewellyn Basham Where can you find a man like him ? Study what he wrote, and learn from his teachings, for if you do , you will gain immense strength. Take advantage of the fountain of wisdom,of Spirit , and of fire that flowed through Vivekananda! --- Jawaharlal Nehru Men like Sri Ramakrishna, men like Swami Vivekananda and men like Mahatma Gandhi are great unifying forces , great constructive geniuses of the world not only in regard to the particular teachings that they taught, but their approach to the world and their conscious and unconscious influence on it is vitally important to us. ---- Jawaharlal Nehru ( first Indian prime minister and co-founder of the non-aligned movement) A great yogi, a spiritual teacher,a religious leader,a writer, an orator and , above all, the most selfless worker for humanity---that was Swami Vivekananda. I had the honor of living with this great Swami in India, in England, and in America. I lived and travelled with day after day and night after night and watched his character for nearly twenty years, and I stand here to assure you that I have not found another like him in these three continents. As a man ,his character was pure and spotless ; as a philosopher , he was the greatest of all Eastern and Western philosophers .In him I found the ideal of Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga and Jnana Yoga ; he was like the living example of Vedanta in all its living branches. ---Swami Abhedananda " It may be said that when he began to speak it was of 'the religious ideas of the Hindus' ,but when he ended ,Hinduism had been created. " ---Margaret Noble The truths he preaches would have been as true, had he never been born. Nay more, they would have been equally authentic. The difference would have lain in their difficulty of access , in their want of modern clearness and incisiveness of statement, and in their loss of modern coherence and unity.Had he not lived, texts that today will carry the bread of life to thousands might have remained the obscure disputes of scholars. He taught with authority , and not as one of the Pundits. For he himself had plunged to the depths of the realisation which he preached , and he came back like Ramanuja only to tell its secrets to the pariah, the outcast and the foreigner. ---Margaret Noble ( wikipedia ) Vivekananda left a body of philosophical works (see Vivekananda's complete works) which Vedic scholar Frank Parlato has called, "the greatest comprehensive work in philosophy ever published." 'Narendra(Vivekananda) belongs to a very high plane — the realm of the Absolute. He has a manly nature. So many devotees come here, but there is no one like him. --Sri Ramakrishna He ( Vivekananda) has eighteen extraordinary powers, one or two of which is sufficient to make a man famous in the world. --Sri Ramakrishna. "Behold! Here is Naren (Vivekananda). See! See! Oh what power of insight he has! It is like the shoreless sea of radiant knowledge ! The Mother , Mahamaya Herself ,cannot approach within ten feet of him ! She is barred by the very glory which She has imparted to him !" --Sri Ramakrishna “Narendra (Swami Vivekananda) will teach others ….. Very soon he will shake the world by his intellectual and spiritual powers.” ---Sri Ramakrishna
I don't think that's your motive at all. We would have to be deaf, dumb and blind if we didn't already know how bad terrorists are. As to working against Islamic terror - what practical steps do you imagine the individual can actually take?
Suit yourself then. Anyone can exercise their powers of discrimination and find ways to end islamic terrorism. And in my opinion, a good step would be to eradicate the violent verses in the quran that exhorts one to slay the unbeliever, chop off his fingers and limbs, crucify him, take his wife as captive slaves and have sex with her, and the imposition of jizya tax on the unbeliever, and the verse that states that says that it will be accepted of no one to accept a religion other than islam. If these verses cannot be eradicated, then at least the moderate islamic scholars should educate their community on the havoc and carnage these verses have caused since the 7th century A.D. This will go a long way in eradicating islamic terrorism. They can also emphasize islamic traditions like sufism as well which will also help to moderate the islamic community.
Whilst your at it, you could also delete all copies of the Bhagavad Gita then, with it's encouragement of fighting and war. Maybe we'd be far better off if all ancient scriptures were rounded up and burned - a clean sheet, a fresh start. You can't eradicate Islamic 'terrorism' because it's fundametal to Islam, which has always relied on war to spread itself from the very start. Either way, there's actually nothing the individual can do to eradicate the verses you mention.
And where are verses in the gita that exhorts one to slay the unbeliever, chop off his fingers and limbs, crucify him, take his wife as captive slaves and have sex with her, and the imposition of jizya tax on the unbeliever, and the verse that states that it will be accepted of no one to accept a religion other than hinduism? Gita sanctions war for the sake of righteousness and justice, nothing else. Also talk on war is just a minor portion and the major portion is devoted to philosophy, metaphysics, psychology, mind control, yoga and other features. You don't see hindus persecuting bahais, buddhists, jains, sikhs, zoroastrians, jews , christians unlike Islamic terrorists. Hindus have also not indulged in any offensive warfare against asia, africa and europe unlike the Islamic terrorists. You can find more on this topic in the thread 'war and the bhagavad gita.' Even now , India staunchly opposed the Iraqi invasion by the americans and their stooges the britishers, which killed 650000 iraqi civilians, women and children , and which will cross the 1 million mark in 2 years time, making it the first genocide in the 21st century. Vivekananda has stated that all scriptures that does not agree with reason should be rejected. So I believe all scriptures that are irrational should be rejected. As Voltaire himself stated, "As long as people believe in absurdities , they will commit atrocities." This coming from you , I am not surprised. I have provided an option. If they can't eradicate this, they can educate their community on the bloodshed and evil these verses have committed, and hence prevent it from happening again.
