Jingoism: Extreme nationalism characterized especially by a belligerent foreign policy; chauvinistic patriotism
well, yeees, but i've said this before about pressed rat. It seems you adhere to a chauvinistic patriotism to the ideas in your own head. The nation of lickherish is the most superor nation of all - its implicitly evident in all your writing. I am no longer part of this silly argument.
I’m not good at jokes but how about this - Q: How many conspiracy theorists does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: One to do it, one to insist that the CIA was responsible for the old bulb burning out, one to blame it on the Illuminati, one to blame it on the Bilderberg group, Rat to blame it on all three and it was all to do with keeping people in the dark about the fascist take-over of absolutely everything by Zionist bankers plus Alex Jones to do a film showing the bulb was hit by missiles just before it went out, Pointbreak to tell them they are all shovelling bull shit and several other to insist PB is a tool of ‘the conspiracy’.
Did you ever make fun of some guy because he's a total dork and everybody's having a good laugh at it until you realise he's retarded and then suddenly you feel horribly guilty? That's sort of how I feel about making fun of Lick in this thread.
Poor PB still desperately seeking any ounce of affirmation he can find. Keep trying, sooner or later your little gang of cheerleaders will rally to your side so you dont feel so pointless.
Lick I said “Please explain your thinking” for the very reason that I was unsure of your views. I’m still unsure. Let me explain part of the dilemma. You seem to be saying that you want change but believe that change can only come when people are forced into it by the bitter hardship of deprivation. Yet you say you work for an NGO now all the Non Governmental Organisations I know and the many people I know that have or do work for them claim they do it to change the world into a better place. Don’t you see the contradiction? You think that only by making the world a worse place and making peoples lives more miserable will change come along. Don’t you think you should resign your place so that someone that does can take your place that agrees more with the NGO philosophy of building rather than your own of substantial destruction? ** I also don’t agree with your conclusion that somehow a major depression would inevitably lead to a “Progressive reconstruction”. First of all what would you mean by ‘progressive’, is that a lefie future if so what kind of left wing philosophy? Next how do you know if your ideas of a ‘Progressive reconstruction’ are the same as your fellow travellers in this venture such as Rat, who seems to be a right wing libertarian? Whose ideas win out and how is that decided? Another thing is the conclusion itself, why do you believe the rich and powerful will not be able to weather the “collapse” or even come out of it stronger? The wealthy are a lot more cushioned than others are and if not completely stupid have devious assets. It is the middle and lower classes that such recessions hit the most to survive many have to sell what they have cheaply and those that have the resources (such as the wealthy) can then buy them up. Now it is possible that in such circumstances ground based movements might pull down the wealthy but it is equally possible that the wealthy can rise private armies to protect their assets. The problem is that when a recession hits or a revolution happens it is very hard to control how events will occur just wishing some things (like a ‘who posits no manifesto of his own beliefs whilst decrying others of not doing so. ) will happen is no guarantee that they will. ** “who posits no manifesto of his own beliefs whilst decrying others of not doing so” I often put forward my views and am happy to discuss them but I’m trying to understand yours? You claim to want change and to be a man of action but you seem to be telling people that it is not worth voting, that a revolution isn’t going to happen any time soon, and that the best thing to do is to wait around until some possible future “collapse” that just might possibly bring about “Progressive reconstruction”. **
Just play PBs game and 'joke' back then...i notice a little malice with PB .. but you can wind people up no end... sometimes just to prick your pompousity a little humour is required.. I am not a ''cheerleader'' for PB.. I just find sometimes well its probably been explained previously better than i can...[LIF]. See your so sour faced sometimes just the mention that PB is quite amusing ..you get all defensive. Just lighten up a bit... thats all. I guess just seeing you post in 'serious' topics.. I never see a lighter side... it is possible though. Come on give me some grief... i'm waiting..
Actually, as Rat and I and other have said, the CIA is controlled by the Illuminati, the Bilderberg Group is controlled by the Illuminati, as are the Zionists. All major groups are, so to seperate them is blatant folly.
Nope. Still intact. I just don't like it when people say things deliberately to make us look like conspiracy kooks.
Only to minds that have been deliberately conditioned to see us that way. That is how they stop the word from spreading is by ingraining what is "posible" in everyone, and if anyone says anything outside of that range of thought, they're a "nut" or a "conspiracy kook".
Nalencer as someone that is a believer in ‘the conspiracy’ maybe you can answer the questions that Rat (and others) have been unable to answer? What are people to do to reduce the power or even defeat ‘the conspiracy’? What kind of political policies would you follow to do it? What would the political system be like after ‘the conspiracy’? **
Pressed Rat is a very informed person and I do believe what he says has a lot of truth to it. He has backed up his statements time and time again and he gives you his credibility. But you would be an idiot to even think for one second you could change whats going on in todays world. To me it would be impossible to undermine the system and change its course.
you are asking "given that the world is corrupt and their are conspiracy theories, what are we to do"? Well the simple answer must be that it depends on what the conspiracy theory is. If it becomes proven fact, for example, that the British royal family executed dianna, then it is a hypocrisy gone too far. They are meant to be the shining example to English people of what the state represents. So can we now all just execute whoever we want? If that could be proven - then the logical position dictates they should be removed from office and put on trial. As far as the one about a Jewish conspiracy - well who gives a damn - It dont matter who owns the banks - someone has to own them
Lol This whole thread got so out of control because people, mostly Shaggie and Bulbus, claim to be liberals and for free speech but once Rat comes and says something they disagree with all they do is bitch at him and try to catch him in little screw ups to discrdit him and almost never actually debate him on the facts. I know it sounds like im his PR representative or something right now but I can't help but think that, it's so transparent in all their posts replying to him.
Not all liberals think exactly alike. That's why they are liberal because they don't believe in strict conformism like the neocons do. Besides, I don't recall Shaggie or Balbus ever claiming to be liberal. They sound more like moderates..like many of us, here, are. Apparently, you believe your way of thought is the only right one and anyone who thinks remotely differently is TEH EVOl conservative.
