Ha ha, this is all looking like something out of Jerry Springer, but with fuzzy intellectuals that don't curse
LIF, given that the problems of the US, my priority interest as a US citizen, are systemic in nature, I do not waste my energy picking apart the extraneous beliefs of those who at least recognise that root core of the problem. Unlike PB, I am capable of acknowledging the elite-centric hijacking of our entire political/economic infrastructure without foaming at the mouth if some wish to call it an illuminati or not. The players and their infrastructure toward which I and many others concern ourselves are quite identifiable. Nevertheless, I also recognise - as PB evinces so regularly here - that no systemic change can or will occur until mainstream Americans are forced (I believe through escalating deprivation to come within the next generation or two) out of the smug bubble of myth and rhetoric into which we have all been indoctrinated over the course of many generations. For all his own corruption, one thing JFK said rings true: Cold War/Domino Theory (the great Communist boogeyman coming to get us) has been replaced by the WoT/Spread Democracy myth, both of which PB and his ilk cling to tenaciously and both of which prevent any reasoned and informed debate on the complete reordering of the system required for a sustainable and cooperative future. Since complacency and smug derision is all the Progressive can expect at this time, let the collapse come and may it leave the naysayers equally dispossessed so that on that day all their derision can be handed back to them with a hearty "told you so" before they are consigned to the margins where they always belonged.
Lick I agree with you about the myths that the US is based on and believe in but just how does supporting Rat in his construction of a ‘conspiracy’ myth actually help? Do you really think trying to convince people that a generations spanning secret society of illuminati and Zionist bankers, controls the system, is the best way to wean people off myths? Also is waiting around to say ‘I told you so’ a mature political goal? What next ‘boo sucks’ or ‘nar nar de nar nar”? Are you’re really going to just sit around doing nothing in the hope that the system will fall? That bad enough but you’re really also trying to convince others to do the same? Please explain your thinking.
Did you read what you wanted to read into what I posted Balbus, or what I actually wrote? I do not just sit around. I work with grassroots movements and NGOs, not that I need justify my activities to you - who posits no manifesto of his own beliefs whilst decrying others of not doing so. As for endorsing Rat, I simply let him speak his mind without (as clearly stated above) feeling the need to foam at the mouth over the labels to which he and others choose to subscribe. I concern myself with concrete actors and agencies within our system, and always have. If you wish to continue ascribing endorsements to me which I do not make or presume my silence on his views equals consent on all points, be my guest. I will no more respond to your allegations on that score than I bother doing with PB. Waste of time. I will, however, acknowledge that I recognise a shared appreciation for a certain underlying principle ignored by the mainstream media and the smugly complacent majority, namely that the present system as it exists cannot be reformed. The corruption is to intrinsic to the infrastructure itself. First we must deconstruct susbtantially before any Progressive reconstruction could hope to flourish.
Hug it out, bitch! Yep. The thing is though, that's really just an evasive, "yes but no but yes" Vicky Pollard sort of response. Politics, its that thing wot you know nuffink about. Because there's a world of difference between thinking the CIA plotted 9/11 to justify invading Iraq and steal their oil, because America is corrupt and beholden to big business, and believing a bunch of Bavarians formed a conspiracy in 1776 to usurp humanity and destroy the world. And that George Bush is a gay communist, etc. Care to "evince" on that one? For were you to posit thusly, we would have no need to ascribe your views speculatively, as we are otherwise wont to do (insert pompous Lick verbiage ad nauseum). It may well be a waste of time, but that has never stopped you before, or are you now pretending that you don't actually visit hipforums and participate? A rather difficult position to defend via posts in HipForums.
Enter PB with expected derisive verbal flatulance right on cue. Further evidence of the blissful ignorance and lack of critical reasoning faculties which makes any attempt at substantive discourse impossible. Keep on trollin'...
Can we have a quick bet .. Lick has no sense of humour or can't 'switch off' for a minute.. to join us in a more relaxed manner ??.. £10 he can't He'll be drafting some long speach right about now...
Pitiful is the word I would choose to describe his posts actually, but whatever makes you laugh I suppose.
I have a wonderful sense of humor, matt. Arrogantly mistaking one's ignorance and jingoistic double standards as informed debate is not comical in the least.
The Illuminati did not take control of the world in any 1867, PB. They have controlled all the major civilisations in the history of the world. Their original headquarters was in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia (Present day Iraq and Syria). They then relocated to the Roman Empire at the height of it's power, and then to England, where they yet reside today. They created all major religions, from the Pagan religions in Mesopotamia to the Christian faith in Rome and Britain. That is why you see the same recurrences throughout all major religions. For example, Christmas is a complete rehashing of an ancient Pagan holiday celebrating Nimrod, the equivilant of God, who birthday was the 25th of December. This holiday included the tree, the gifts under it, holly/mistletoe, etc. Note that Jesus was not born in December but in mid-January. This is a shining example of how, no matter your religion, the Illuminati has you worshipping their Gods and celebrating their festivals.
As far as I see, matthew is quite capable of independent thought. Tell us a joke dude or you'll risk losing our respect forever. You're quickly painting a picture of yourself as a hapless latent homosexual nerd with no real personality.
Where you get homosexual or lack of personality from is beyond me. Sorry dont take kindly to presumptive personal insults. Feel free to bolster the PB minority ranks if it floats your boat.
That is an insult is it not? "LATENT homosexual" friend, LATENT...you know, like Harding from One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. Its just a psychological theory to explain the dire need to defend your honor and self proclaimed genius and use wanky jingoistic lingo to cover up any 'real' feelings you might actually possess. Pure speculation. I have nothing against homosexuality..i mean, they had lesbian action in Xena
