One of the things that I've noticed to occur when approaching new subjects or new friends is the development of common vocabulary. We do this often through the sharing of like interests to create common ground for communication. Every science has it's own specialized vocabulary and every pillow hears it's own version of sweet nothings being whispered.
Although it may seem we've diverged from the point long ago, and tread again paths that we've tread before, I think this sort of conversation -is- the psychedelic revolution. At least a part of it. Exploring the possible, designing dreams, hashing out difference and finding ways to live with them. Presenting experiences and new ways of thinking. Or old ways of thinking, for some, presented again in new ways by those for whom the ideas are new. If I just play the same three chords will you just smile and say: Woo-hoo-hoo, It's all been done? Woo-hoo-hoo It's all been done...before.
Frankly all instruments do hold a steady tone, from the density of a stone to the wall of a cell, to our own autonomous nervous system. The harmony that I hear is subtle yet sublime. Gravity is the weakest of forces producing the largest effects, the symphony of the spheres.
Shrug, Even tones themselves are composed of a beat, on a certain level. Pulsation, cycles, breath, beat, rhythm and measure. All of existence is keeping time. As Ardhanarishvara dances.
Oh dear, it seems I've become a Mastah of Troof myself. I think I must flagellate myself now. *hunts out flogger*
part of what having power entails that you would be able to give freedom and justice. you would be a keeper of the freedom so to speak. not that you would be oppressive to others. because that is misused power. but due to the simple fact that not everyone is going to use power in the right manner brings up the fact that not everyone can have equal power. we can have equality as human beings without having equality in power. we just need to get rid of the kind of leader that says 'do as i say, and not as i do' and bring in people that are gracious, kind, and just leaders that lead by example. again, this comes down to the idea that you shouldn't throw something out because it is a little flawed. most leadership and authority in the world at large is corrupt and at least slightly oppressive. but again that does not mean that the idea of having a person in a position of power is always going to be a bad idea. remember your kid touches a flame analogy? it doesn't matter who holds the power, as long as it is being used to create freedom and justice. i'd gladly live a life without power if i knew that this kind of thing was being done. but it isn't except in a few small pockets of the world. so for as long as that isn't being done there is going to be the need for the people with real authority and real power to step up to the plate -- the kind of power that creates equality and justice. but you can bet that for as long as society isn't a pile of rubble the positions of power are going to be held by men, because that is just how humanity functions. although, truly the best authority functions as a couple in a longterm relationship, so as to understand fully both genders and the bond that brings them together, as well as the family dynamic of raising children. just remember, power isn't about self. power is about justice and equality.
Power, from the Latin potis, meaning able. To have power is to have ability. Ability can be used for anything. Freedom and justice are human concepts. You could say power makes it possible to contemplate freedom and justice. Power does not make you the keeper of freedom and justice. You may know freedom and justice because it is part of your inheritance in creation. To be the keeper of freedom and justice, we must become free and just, the only power involved is the ability to do so.
