You think he'd go for it? We could give him a choice between Crucifixion, burning, or modernize it with a shotgun blast. HMM? Now just how to sell him on the idea?
In respect to the absolute, everything else is an abstraction. You cannot eliminate natural response. Natural response has a moderator, everything is an idea. Our whole experience is an ordered manifestation of the following process, Thought, word, deed. There are many ways to change momentum. Exercise, a practice might be to learn dexterity with your off hand, your physical composure is also habitual. We tend to come to a particular stance that relates to a particular activity, such as leading off with the same foot every time we begin to walk or standing with weight balanced in favor of one foot over the other. Exercise or practice encourages increased faculty.
we were created in a state perfected by free will. thus the ability to lack, and the ability to be fulfilled. but we weren't created without that knowledge. the knowledge is in our conscience. as well as the guidance we receive through synchronicity and spiritually connected individuals and the spiritual teachings of the world. but even beyond that self-preservance behind that surrender, surrendering should be for a purpose. it doesn't do any good to surrender just for the sake of it, but rather to surrender in order to better other people and the world. to serve others in order for them to increase. but the problem being that in most of the world people don't know what to increase towards. which ends up in them having incomplete ability to actually be able to take your surrender in any kind of positive direction. but rather, it will not be acknowledged, or abused for selfish desire. you even said that you never did it completely. surrender where you keep your foot in the door is not surrender. it is the ultimate act of faith, total and complete surrender for the rest of your existence. you never did it completely, because the world does not foster the kind of enviroment where that is possible. thus the need for that kind of enviroment, where true surrender can be realised, where real and complete trust can be realised between individuals. we all have human traits. and we all have qualities that make us who we are. but that does not change the fact that men are just more gifted at some things than women are, and women are more gifted at some things than men are. you can call a trait masculine, or feminine, but that does not exclusively apply it to that sex. really what these traits are is just the essence of masculenity, or the essence of feminity. the essence of the sexes that cannot be mixed up without courting chaos and destroying families, families being the cornerstone for society and thus destroying society. it's not about which roles are male, or female, it's about what the sexes are naturally inclined to be good at. but not just some kind fulfillment that is based out of rebellion. yes, a woman should not have to life in an isolated box. but this is rather less the issue of the roles of the sexes and more the issue of the condition of modern society. we all draw into our own little bubbles and retract from the rest of the world because we just can't handle dealing with someone who is different than us. like you said at the end of your post, it takes a village. it wouldn't be so lonely if instead of being stuck in a house all day by yourself you were instead with other people throughout the village or community. people you can trust. i'm not denying women full fledged humanity. they should have a say. and i'm not saying that societies ideas about masculine and feminine are right either. but at the same time, men are the cornerstone for society, and they are always going to have more responsibility, because they can handle more responsibility. not because women are inferior, but because men are just more gifted to not become as emotional and more prone to be able to handle more responsibility. but the responsibility that they have is only part of the picture. what about the rest? well men sure can't do some of the things that women do to the finesse that women can do them. but the same goes for the fact that women just aren't going to be able to do some things as well as men can.
PB, I noticed you were a dirty old man in training. I've been filthy a while now, (sticks out tongue).
We are created with the capacity to imagine such things, as lack. This is cultural identification. Sexual dimorphism is a reproductive strategy of the species. The individual body is common biological stock. These things have nothing to do with what you are. You are energetic expression.
haha yea communes work. but i would want a change in mainstream society because there's alot more people in the mainstream than there are in communes. the more lives effected, the better. it's not a matter or what they have done for me, it's a matter of what i can do for them. yes, well put. hmm we'll have to come up with a cunning plan.
Consider Desos, you may be here to learn to operate your own creative machinery with competence, not to change the world. Mastery is to pick your life up and lay it down at will.
I disagree. I think the first thing you need to do is surrender your idea of who you think you even are. And that is surrender just for the sake of surrender, not for the rest of the world, but for Self-Realization. And the more that you do surrender you slowly realize more and more that your surrender is synonimous with the environment around you. So the more that you surrender, the more you realize that it is a good environment to surrender, and so you surrender more. (wow, that's a lot of "surrenders" in two sentences.) Basically i disagree with you in the fact that you need to set up a society first and THEN surrender. I think that you should "seek the kingdom first". And the kingdom is within you, it's not "out there" somewhere. And then once you do surrender, it automatically begins to take your experience outward, and the only thing that there is really left to do is to help the rest of the world out, in your own way. It can be a big way or it can be a small way. Either way is fine. You're just doing your part and following your cosmic flow. And the great thing is that you realize you don't even NEED to help the world out. You see the perfection of everything just as it is, yet you serve humanity with love and compassion and humility anyway. It's just because. It's causeless. No. This is still wrong in my opinion. Men WERE the cornerstone for society. I think that that's ending though, and there's nothing that we can even do about it. But i agree with mostly everything else in your post regarding the male and female, Desos. I just disagree with the "cornerstone for society part".
i agree, but in order to fully operate your own 'creative machinery' with competence also means to use it to it's greatest potential. thus to pick up your life when it is most beneficial, and to lay it down when it is most beneficial, and to find the situations and circumstances in which it would be most beneficial to do so, and most influential to do so. not just beneficial to yourself, but benficial to the whole. well you have to start somewhere. but complete surrender cannot be realised apart from trust. real trust of being able to put your life in someone else's hands, and for that trust to make you both grow together.
But why somebody else's hands when there is no "other" in the first place? But i think we're saying the exact same thing... But i agree about the trust. I don't really understand the "somebody else's hands" part.
There are no idle thoughts, you are not a varied potentiality. Multiplication is quick addition. Focus focuses probability.
In terms of the absolute, everything else is abstraction, a reflection of the abstract quality of mind. The whole defines the parts, but the part that distinguishes itself through separation finds itself alone. The part does not define the whole in any sense. Creation has no opposite.
Right. At this era i tend to enjoy being in the Absolute view predominantly. Meaning that i still engage in duality and individuated parts of the whole, but the Absolute and direct experience of pure oneness in any given moment is the most important for me right now. Probably just since i've grown up with years of conditioning in the dual world, and i've only got a few years of the oneness world to counterbalance it. But i understand that in time you want to have one foot in both the relative and the absolute, or the oneness and the duality. Because having two feet in the Absolute for too long is just as bad as having two feet in the dual. It's wisdom but there's no Love in it at all. But honestly, just thinking out loud here, i really don't feel like i even prefer one over the other. Perhaps it's important to see the Oneness first, and then that gives way to the liberation of the expression of duality. But i feel i do a good job at being in both at the same time. Don't know why i'm rambling about this, other than for self assurance. ha
