    Having fun?

    TheDope...

Would I engage even your question? It's hard to tell where people's faiths actually are....so why even a continuous question of belief?

Contradiction is in all this reason.
This screen. This screen. blah blah.

The internet.... cyberspace.... I don't know how that even registers to me.

The advice I would take from you, is to not even stand out or just show rejection of notions, people will take all they can take for their own notions, even the original.

Do you ever feel like you're trading energy throughout your mind and centers of feeling in your body? Like a total overall potential energy and kinetic energy being distributed to your making?

    Whoops, heh.

Yeah, I knew you were kidding at first. But, I don't know... You did seem to be getting cranky. And you were pretty much :beatdeadhorse5: with the :beatdeadhorse5: joke. Though there is some irony in that. So hard to tell on the net sometimes how serious folks are.

We do seem to have some similar thoughts, I've had a response to a couple threads ready, only to read farther and see you make the same point. :p

Anyway, sorry for being so darn serious. Sometimes I do get a lil too srs bizness bout it all. Sometimes I get the feeling though that the real answer to the existential questions actually is a cosmic joke. But not a cruel one, like Desos suggested, just a very complex, extremely witty joke. And figuring out how to laugh with the universe becomes the point, the meaning of life, if in such a frame life can be said to have any meaning at all.

I usually question statements on the basis of random sampling, (false statistic), on the basis that they are self contradictory, or that are false by definition or in comparison to demonstrable fact.
For example your statement, "life isn't philosophical or existential", is false by definition. Philosophical and existential are both words that are symbols that have their origin in an embodied sensation. Philosophical and existential is life talking about life, so we really could use a more stable motivation for fucking off. We get no where at all contending with beliefs, they only contend with each other, not the truth.

I find my self observing the world from many diverse angles.

The world abides. He's right. One can change their mind, but in order to change the world one must change MANY minds. And unfortunatley in this day and age people's minds are set on material goods, nascar, pepsi, and american idol. To the Op...the only logical suggestion I can make for you if you really are that passionate about your values is to either become a politician (even though you'll never get anywhere in mainstream society with those values), or to drop out and go live your dream on a commune. Why should you want to change mainstream society anyways? What has it ever done for you?

The individual mind is kingdom each of us alone rules. In changing your mind however, you change the collective, because the mind is individual, or indivisible. Light illumines no matter it's source. A single pair of eyes can do the exploring for many. The explorer changes the map for everyone. Sanity calls to sanity.

I know, but the ego is so powerful that naturally it would stop others from sharing the dream one person may have in their own mind. Regardless of there only really being one mind, one consciousness. It is so hard to knock down that wall that is built brick by brick from the day we are born.

Do always and only respond with platitudes.
I understand the majority of what you post, but I imagine that a conversation with you would get very tedious very quickly if this is the only manner in which you choose to communicate.

Tell us what thedope feels and thinks in normal, straightforward language, or are you hiding behind the inherent vagueness in a lot of your responses.

There are those that hide behind lots of verbage that says little and there are those who hide behind few words of vague meaning.

Damn, talking with you at times is like watching re-runs of Kung Fu.

I find the lament about order of difficulty to be amusing. We can only entertain one thought at a time. You disassemble a wall built brick by brick, brick by brick.
No one brick weighing more than any other brick. There is nothing ineffectual about the mind except it's tendency to wander.

Damn. You're always so insightful to talk to. I can only hope that one day I will see the bigger picture, and all the small ones contained within. I all too easily jump the spot where the clog in the idea is and name it a spade right off the bat.

I think that you might want to cultivate a mindset much more substantial than hope. Our hopes of dreams may or may not materialize in time, however what will be done is done.
This is a mechanical effect of the transducing nature of neurological chrystalization. Habitual thought.

That is true. I've surprised myself a few times with the things that I've willed to happen. I have a pretty good ability to tell myself, and say outloud that something already has happened, and that it went the way I wanted it to. Then it later turns out the way I already said that it would or has.

Yea, habitual thought is such a hindrance. Any suggestions on how to elimate that natural response mechanism?

what we really need to make this thread more complicated is the concept of elite family insiders, the freemasons, and the body of messiah. :smilielol5:

    My thoughts exactly. :D
I nice big jumblefuck of ideas and theories.

While we are at it why not throw in some Pyramidology, Scientology, astrology, heck let's just throw all the ologies in a blender with some OJ and strawberries and make a big old theosophy-philosophy smoothie.:p

Hell we could even start our own religion, L. Ron Hubbard did it, why can't we?

We could call Smoothyism, The religion of all and strawberries too.

    Well then consider this angle:

Much discussion, or this back and forth, this continuum of what thinking just mounts up layers. Perhaps those words have an embodied sensation, if you want them to. That relates to my last question, but we are all free to make our own choices. Reaction is an action of choice. I'm glad you're sure of the "not" and "isn't" in my choices.

    Funny question...
    Are you with me?

    Yes or No
