a lovely list...there's some quite nice modern dub on radio 6: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/6music_aod.shtml?6mix though most of it's more modern
I don't really need 'em. I got oodles and oodles of dub. More dub than you could shake a spliff at. But still, I remember iTunes having some dub channels with pretty decent bit-rate streams.
Dreadzone are proper cool, and I love Mr. Scruff - he has some dubby stuff going on. Oh, and would you class Ozric Tentacles as dub? Whatever they are, they're way cool, too!
what do you think of dub side of the moon? personally i think some of it is better than the original n you know how much i love floyd!
Dreadzone aren't dub. They're heavily dub influenced, but they're essentially dance music. Ozric Tentacles tentacles could not in a million years be described as dub. They're space rock. They're also influenced by dub (but then most hippy music is!), but a dub band they are not.
Dreadzone are most assuredly not dub. They make dance music. Very good dance music that's soaked in dub vibes from head to toe, but still dance music. If you think Dreadzone are dub, then you're not familiar with the real deal.
