i have a pitbull and a rotweiler, both known to be vicious . they both have very different personalities but they are both very loving these are old pics. He's 2 now. Im not going to start an argument about the close minded people. All i know is, every pitbull i ever met has been lovely and caring. Any dog can have bad in it. Not a whole breed. same way as people can have bad in them, not a whole race!... EDIT: i tried addin two pics but the second wont work. its my rotwieler licking my pitbull ha. cute
Oh I don't doubt it! I've met quit a few good ones. My thing is, if I don't know for a fact that no ones going to get hurt, then I'm not fuck in with it. That goes for any breed. That being said, it is completely irresponsible on the owners behalf to even allow their dog with aggressive tendencies to be off-leash. If you have your dog on a leash and someone is dumb enough to walk right up and man-handled YOUR dog without permission, well, that's on them.
yeah i know what you mean. I love dogs , but I can be a bit nervous around any dog i dont know. no matter what breed it is. I get more nervous walking past a child if I'm walking my jack russel than if im walking the pitbull or rotweiler ha. shes a fiesty little one. I have to keep her close to me!!
The ONLY pitbull problem there is, is the people who get them who sholdn't be looking after ANY animals... There is no breed of dog that is inherently dangerous...There are only people who don't know how to raise animals and be a pack leader. If you fear your own dog... then you shouldn't have it.. regardless of if its a pitbull or a chihuahua... Those people who have had pitbulls and had bad experiences, should be going around and saying that pitbulls are not for them, because they don't know how to raise them, not spreading bullshit stories of them being vicious killers.
the pitbull is the only dog that i will ever have in my home. spreading lies and blaming innocent animals is not helping the situation at all.
This is my male Tonka. He is such a clown. When you fuss at him if he has done something wrong he will punish himself to him kennel till i tell him its ok to come out,I have no idea where he got this from just started it himself one day.
i wonder if they included in that list how many of those dogs were mis-treated or hit at some stage! maybe we should start our own list of all the pitbulls that NEVER attacked anyone, and see how the numbers compare shall we? EDIT: and tell WHAT exactly to these people? that i have a pittbull thats very loyal, caring and loving? what is the problem in that? its not like im lying when i say that. painting the WHOLE breed with the one brush. Im from ireland, i suppose im an alcoholic too, and my dog is a vicious baby eater.
This is one of those issues that is really difficult to have a conversation about. Those who have had pitbulls that have attacked people, can't argue that they were at fault... therefore they have to blame the dog. Those who have been attacked by them, usually never consider anything beyond they were attacked by that dog. What needs to happen, is that when a dog attacks someone... any breed of dog... the owner of that dog needs to be charged. That is the ONLY thing that will make people stop and think before they go and get an animal they have no clue how to handle. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats (3 actually at the moment), 30 meat birds, 12 laying hens and ten goats... and they all run around and get along with each other. The breeds of the animals don't matter... what matters is the people who care for them, or not as the case may be.
indeed. :2thumbsup: Im so sick of hearing the same stuff over and over again about how the breed should be banned and all this. its so annoying.
