John Rahm going over to the LIV tour. There seems to be no real consequence for the players that have moved. They can still play in the major tournaments, play on the Ryder Cup teams, and even in the Olympics. They get a huge payday just for moving over. Really is no down side for them. The PGA tour hasn't put in any penalties for making the move. As much as I don't care for the LIV tour, there is only an up side for the players moving to LIV. I think the PGA is making a huge mistake, and at some point they my run out of players.

The PGA has no choice but to let them go. The PGA is a 1.5 billion dollar business. But LIV is backed by Saudi monetary reserves that have been set aside to the tune of 700 billion. That's like the grocery store stock boy competing with Elon Musk hiring engineers for the rocket launce idea. Both may want to go into space. But who do you think will actually get there? The PGA is unable to secure purse money large enough to keep the best on their tour. So only in majors will you see PGA Tour players competing with the much better LIV Tour members. If the PGA were to go to court in order to remain in control of the golf world they would not only lose, but cease to exist which may be what will happen anyway. The PGA is already succumbed to the Saudi money and will end up merging with LIV in the near future.
