The Other Woman Movie Blurb by Shale April 26, 2014 Nothing better to do today so thot I'd relax at this chick flick. It wasn't the best formulaic rom/com but bearable. Gad, I'm sounding like the majority of aggregate critics on Rottentomatoes where only 25% liked it. Their consnsus was that: "The Other Woman definitely boasts a talented pedigree, but all that skill is never fully brought to bear on a story that settles for cheap laughs instead of reaching its empowering potential." Yep, all the way thru the movie I was thinking about the over the top physical comedy routines that would have been done by Lucille Ball or Carol Burnett. The story is about Carly (Cameron Diaz) a New York lawyer who is dating and bedding Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) a handsome, successful businessman. Carly & Mark in Park All is going well until he has to scrap one of their plans to fix some plumbing at his Connecticut home. She is rather sharp with him and to makeup she goes to his house dressed as a stripper plumber - where she meets Kate (Leslie Mann) his wife. She beats a hasty retreat, but Kate who is a bit high strung hysterical looks her up at work, and reluctantly (to get rid of her) Carly talks with her about her cheating husband. Kate keeps pestering Carly who really wants to get this nutcase out of her life but eventually they bond. Then they find out that Mark has another mistress and they track her down at a beach resort. Beach Stakeout This is a young, well stacked girl named Amber (Kate Upton). Eventually, the three spurned women get together and plan revenge. 3 Women Scorned Planning Fury So the wife, the lawyer and the cute mistress manage to give the cheating scoundrel all the grief he deserves. Like I said, it didn't require any effort to sit thru and some parts were entertaining but it was definitely a movie designed for women and had a happy ending where they all became BFF.
