    Guess what, good friends?

NOW we have learned that classified documents have been found at former VO Mike Pence's house.

Hmmmmm......does this "classified document search agenda" sound just a tad FAMILIAR?

    This, indeed, makes one wonder......

What else are "big wig" politicians hiding from our knowledge?

What other secrets are the carefully concealing from us

Gee, whiz, this all sounds MORE than a BIT familiar!

Your opinions/views on the ongoing "hidden documents" investigations of recent months?

I have often heard it said that "bad things happen in threes"......

1: Classified documents found at Trump's estate

2: Classified documents found at Biden's Delaware home and office

3: Classified documents found at Pence's home

This now all-too-familiar scenario IS getting to be a BIT wearisome.......jeepers creepers, WHAT in the name of that is good and sane IS going on?

As far as I know only one of these guys refused to turn over these documents when asked. So one of these cases is not like the other two...

    Very good point.

That is something that, indeed, should certainly be considered in the discussion of this topic........

Biden's staff discovered some documents marked classified among his papers. They immediately reported them that day to the DoJ and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), which retrieved them the next day.
Biden directed his attorneys to search for more documents, and they discovered a second set of documents on December 20, followed by several more on January 9 and January 12, 2023. The president’s personal attorneys, who do not have active security clearances, suspended their search. On January 21 the Justice Department discovered six items containing classification markings during a consensual search.
Biden's political career spans 53 years; I'm sure there are a lot of documents. Politicians of his pay grade must remain actively engaged until their last moment in office, and then clear out their desks for their successor virtually instantaneously. I'm not surprised if some things were misfiled.
It's not pedantic to observed that a document "marked as classified" is not necessarily the same thing as a classified document, which might have been declassified at one time.
By all accounts, Biden and his people have fully cooperated with NARA and the DoJ.

Observing Biden's document issue, Mike Pence ordered his people to search his archives, and sure enough, they also found some documents marked classified. They immediately notified the DoJ and NARA, and by all accounts are cooperating fully.

    Then There's Trump.
in May 2021, NARA realized that important documents had not been turned over to them at the end of Trump's term and asked his office to locate them. After months of stonewalling, in January 2022 they finally retrieved 15 boxes of White House records from Mar-a-Lago, some of which contained classified material. The DoJ sent Trump a subpoena for additional material on May 11. On June 3, Justice Department officials visited Mar-a-Lago and received some classified documents from Trump's lawyers, who signed a statement affirming that all material marked as classified had been returned to the government. Later that month an additional subpoena was sent requesting surveillance footage from Mar-a-Lago; video which purportedly shows Trump staffers busily squirreling away boxes of documents just prior to the arrival of the DoJ on the 3rd. On August 8, 2022, acting upon both the CCTV video and an affidavit apparently from a member of Trump's legal team alleging that classified material was still being intentionally withheld (lawyer-client privilege doesn't extend to conspiracy to commit felonies), FBI agents executed a search warrant on Trump's residence, office, and storage areas at Mar-a-Lago to recover government documents and material Trump had taken with him when he left office in violation of the Presidential Records Act. They seized about 33 boxes and containers of 11,000 documents from Mar-a-Lago, including roughly 100 with classification markings, reportedly including some related to nuclear weapons. Four of them were tagged as "top secret" and one as "top secret/SCI", the highest level of classification. The text of the search warrant indicates an investigation of potential violations of the Espionage Act.

Other than involving paper products, the first two situations are not even remotely comparable to the third.

Excellent comments, my friend....thank you for sharing here.

I totally agree; the first two situations are not even remotely "connected" to the third.

And, you know as well as I do, "media hype" takes on a new dimension in such situations.

Again, you've made some very valid comments in your response; I am in complete agreement......

    From an online news article:

"........the discovery of classified documents at former VP Mike Pence's Indiana mansion has campaign veterans gaming out how the issue will shape the race for the White House next year......."

No matter what, this is going to turn into one helluva "tabloid fodder-fest", which will run the gamut from insane to embarrassing.

In any event, friends, it AIN'T gonna be pretty.........
