This rifle was an M-14 style weapon, but significantly modified. It utilized a 173 grain boat-tail spitzer match round, and sported a 3X9 Redfield scope. The scope was equipped with a unique range adjustment for the average height of our enemy, and a giant starlight scope was part of the system. On the scope, two hair lines were moved by rotating an adjustment ring. These two hair lines are adjusted such that the top hair is aligned at the top of the head and the bottom hair is simultaneously adjust to the waist of the NVA. (calibrated for the average height of an NVA) Result, perfect elevation at any range up to 1000 meters with the 173 grain round. Of course you have to accommodate for temperature. Heh this thread cracked me up. Anyway sorry to bring this up so many replies later but it bugged me, Statistic posted "Unless you are going to defend your freedom to it's furthest extent, you're a slave." Well that being some of the stupidest shit I've ever heard its easy to prove wrong. Slaves have no freedom. In order to be willing to defend your freedom you must first have it. You could say people who arn't willing to defend their freedom to it's furthest extent are more vulnerable to become slaves, but as long as they have the freedom they are not be slaves.

Have not been around firearms much since I was a medic in the army in 65 -66 but it was fun to see the M14 again. Some of the other weapons are beautiful too.
As far as most of this thread - It is a photo thread about firearms - not a forum for Weapons at home - pro vs. con - Start another thread to have that talk if you like - otherwise seems the right thing to get off these folks backs - but I am often wrong

Hey ekul le chet...so do you commute to your job in your tank? What kind of mileage do you get...I mean miles per gallon or gallons per mile? Do you have any rounds for your main gun? I would think not since guns have been outlawed in merry old England. Over here in the U S of A those of us who wish to and can afford it can own their own tank or weapons carrier or anti tank gun....it's just a question of how much you wanna spend???
