Anyone have Boston terriers? Im looking for a good family dog thats good with kids and cats....A friend recommeneded a Boston terrier....any thoughts from anyone?

I'm loving all the pics of animals!! Pitbulls... yup, I have never really been around one but think they would intimidate me. But we do spend a lot of time with a French Mastiff and they typically have a bad rap too, but he is the laziest most gentle puppy I've ever seen. But in saying all that, I still get really nervous when the boys and him start playing a bit aggressive. I will actually turn my head and not watch and let the his owner watch. Nervous mommy.

 

mandy, lurrrrvv bostons. the only thing is (with all small toy breeds) they have genetic health problems. but, awesome dogs. my friend had a few that would play with her cats. i can't say about kids though.
pitbulls typically make a lot of noise and drama when they're playing, and they play hard. so, it may seem like they're fighting and being aggressive. they need a lot of firmness and training, plus exercise. but, i just adore them.

have had many pets in life including a duck, several rabbit, chickens, frogs, albino frogs, toads, umm turtles, other kinds of turtles, snakes, another basset hound (se father) and the other 9 in the batch of bassets hounds

if you can talk spanish you can tell we were realy inventive in the names, also included in the batch where consentido, consentida, panson, pansona, rio and negrito naming 11 puppies aint easy!

 

yes! i love bassetts. have they had a lot of ear infections over the years? that's theonly thing that bothers me about them.
