Hehe, it's better than the office, but I still don't geddit.

 

They were probably from back when I was living there, or more recent holidays or something. I adore Paris. Id have definitely stayed there, but I had some pretty bad experiences (a persons fault, not the city) which made me kind of flee...then I met my husband who was living here, so I stuck

I do miss it a lot though To be completely honest Ive been trying to push any Frenchness I possessed aside because of bad associations, I was raised bilingual and 2 languages and even a funny mixture used to be the norm for me, now I speak English only

Sucks, but maybe one day we will move back, when things look brighter

Ive never been down that way before in my life, train tickets way too expensive...so to my uneductaed mind, Cornwall, Devon, whatever, I just want a nice quiet life by the sea and countryside with some nice shops and farmers markets and stuff

But that was a very concise life story. Babe, you can't let some asshole ruin France for you! That's awful! Plus you have to brush up on your French because my plan is to go to Paris on the way to Amsterdam, and some time ago we agreed that we were going to meet in Amsterdam so I could make your husband (and also my wife) uncomfortable by hitting on you all the time, so we might as well do France together too.

 

Psh, it's got nothing on Red Dwarf. NOTHING is as good as that. Nothing.

The mice are indeed incredibly cute.. used to have rats, they're just as nice as mice, but they'vegot a bad rep..

 

Nothing at all wrong with rats IMO. I have a friend with a pet rat. Just like mice, they're really affectionate and smart. They make great pets.

Plus if you get hungry you can eat 'em.

Cheers...I know exactly what Ive been doing...have done since it happened, it was a choice I made right there, I said to myself Im in England now, I speak English, I get on with life here and dont think about it, because lifes too short to relive painful stuff all the time. I do realise that only has a tinge of rationality and is probably just escapism...and I dont deserve to have it taken away. Parts of my identity really

Ive been thinking about "getting it back" for a few months now, because of course youre right. Plus France before Amsterdam sounds like a serious planBring on the hitting on eachother fest

i find my myself slipping into other languages even when I am in the uk does that not happen with you? i was on the phone to my best friend the other day and started off in arabic, then to english then tried to get it back to arabic but it went to hebrew instead!

I love pet mice and rats, people really do have the wrong idea about them. Theyre clean, intelligent, active, low maintence and awesome really. But yeah mice are my favourites

i used to have hamsters and rats they are cool pets.

i love my fish though

and cats and dogs and guinea pigs....all pets are great!

 

i could never have caged birds tho, they should be flying free, it wud upset me.

 

It used to all the time...Now its really only ever when I talk in my sleep (I usually dream in French or a Frenglish mix) when Im really tired or really angry. Scott (my husband) always looks shocked and confused when it slips out which makes me try and stop it even more, he doesnt speak a word

Funny thing though...sometimes I get simple things wrong like spelling without even realising. I used to love switching languages, even did some translation work once. Doubt I speak as many as you though! How many do you speak?

The cages they sell for most animals are too small. We build our own out of old aquariums from freecycle for the mice, got a 5 footer in the living room

But birds should be free, definitely
