Indeed. And internet flirting? Doubly pointless.

That must be why it never seems to work when I flirt with you, Piaf.

There's a new kind of flirting on the streets of Britain.............Smirting...it's when you have to go out side for a smoke and meet other smokers outside huddled together....smoking + flirting = smirting

Exactly. And it can get frustrating cause you're probably never gonna meet the person.
So say no to e-flirting !

Internet flirting is fun til it gets you into trouble...

Surely reading 100 webcomic strips in one go isn't good for you :(

Yeah seriously, nynysuts, that sounds like a story.

Piaf, me too! I don't know what's wrong with me these days but I get full after a very small amount of food, and then I'm starving again two hours later. I've always been sorta like this, but it seems to be getting worse.

We love long and boring stories! Well, no we don't, but that sounds like it has to be at least semi-interesting.

Erm, so basically I subscribed to a studenty forum and the perks of this is that you get access to a low moderation room called 'the back room' complete with chatroom.
After a few days of getting to know the other subs someone posted a 'matchmaking thread' where you PMed the thread starter the name of a person you fancied on the site and it got posted up on the first post.
So after a while, I had 2 votes and sent my first name in. Then I did some silly flirting with some boy for a while but that was all.
Then i decided I should probably try another name so I sent in the name of a guy I actually did quite like.
It turned out he'd put me down too and so it was announced on the thread. This was a massive mistake on the thread-starters part, not least because of the 3 pages of wedding jokes which ensued.
The forum drama queen popped up on the thread and it emerges that she's this guys ex. She's well renowned for blowing things out of proportion and this guy ahd apparently got her pregnant and she'd miscarried.
The next day the guy PMed me to say hello and we exchanged a few nice PMs before the girl PMed me to tell me 'not to blag anything around in people's faces'
I told her I wouldn't and she said 'oh it doesn't matter anyway, it's just a silly game and besides, I know his type'
He then PMed me to apologise for the fact she'd 'had words' and I said I'd practically ignored her.
And so it continues, still waiting for him to PM me back...

Told ya it was loooong and boring.

That wasn't that long or that boring.

Does sound like an awkward way to start a relationship - both the public forum part and the psycho ex-girlfriend part - but hey, at least you'll have things to laugh about on your first date.

Fingers crossed that he writes you back and turns out cool.
