I used ypou as a case study example Maxi  Completely forgot about that, someone was asking why people married young so I said (goes to look for post):
I have a friend friend who is married and trying for a baby and she's the happiest she's ever been (she's 20). She and her husband rent a flat and her husand has his own business and she is looking for work until she gets her baby. It wouldn't suit me, but it's right for her just as it's right for a lot of people, who are we to slate a personal decision?

    ANNND it won the argument!!!!

I honestly feel I was tied down and locked up BEFORE we met...and Ive been released in stages. Now I can say what I want, be who I am and have all the support I could ask for through everything. Ive been very fortunate to have found someone who shares a lot of my ideals and dreams and who is open-minded enough to make sure were always free as can be

Of course meeting that person is rare. So yep in the meantime Id enjoy myself!

Completely agree - works well for some people, not so well for others. Me, I've got serious itchy feet (damn athlete's foot), and the responsibilities of being married wouldn't sit well with my urge to travel, see the world, meet new people and take lots of nice drugs in new places.

Ny thats awesome! Hehe Im flattered and:eek:

Different strokes isnt it. I know lots of people couldnt do it at my age. Personally its just come naturally, and I never even thought about my age until someone mentioned it (thankfully only a week before the wedding, so I didnt have to do the whole justify yourself shit) I suppose Ive done things differently all along...moved away from my mum young etc

And me? Well I'm 17, I haven't even had a *proper* relationship yet and plus I aim to spend my time at uni very productively ;)

    So no wedding thoughts atm!!

That would be awesome - though more than likely I'll be headed west first, to Canada & America (I wanna see if america is actually as backward and repressive as us Europeans think it is :p )

See thats something I admire...my plan was originally to go through uni etc. I guess I stood a decent chance (wanted a languages degree) but you know every time I tried to get there my direction was changed by things beyond my control...life brought me here, and Im very grateful. You all know some of the things Ive struggled with...and yes, sometimes I feel like Im wasted. Like I have knowledge being unused etc. But only this year I tried going back to college...and it just felt awkward and wrong
Im here now for a reason...maybe the big career stuff will come later

I still really admire it though! Although I know what you studenty types are like:p My brother hasnt been to a lecture in months:rolleyes:

At the end of the day, only do things if they're right for YOU. This time next year I could be in Aberystwyth or I could be in Brighton, I could be loving my course or hating it, I'll probably be skint and I'll probably miss home. But deep down I just know I'll love it!

Good on you. Bet youre excited!
You know even when things go wrong (which you know they wont!) people still make way too big a deal of taking risks and moving on...Ive been at rock bottom and made the most horrendous mistakes imaginable...but Im here and happy, arent I?
Anyway its reassuring there are people so open-minded and willing to just let others be who they are, not numbers or expectations

    Gawd look at the time!
