Lincoln's not so bad.. well some bits are, but really it's OK. Lincolnshire has much lower house prices than the rest of the country, it's bizarre..

We were thinking about Lincolnshire actually. If Scott changes jobs we could move just about anywhere really I suppose, except the overly expensive places. Tis worth thinking aboot to save monies

My cousins live in a lovely little hamlet near Holbeach, that's my favourite part of Lincolnshire. I suspect I will live my life as a southerner...

I dont think were buying...but even rent heres ridiculous. We pay 550 for one poky room with a "kitchenette" at the end of it on the edge of town at the moment. 2 bed houses in town are about 900:eek: Even in Gloucester theyre much lower, about 600, and up north theyre loads cheaper, so well definitely move. Ill miss home though *sniff*

Still itll be worth it to have our garden with a sandpit and swing, a study for Scott and a nursery! I want to get nesting. I want to gather up twigs:eek:

Exactly! You wouldnt believe what my mum pays for her 3 bed semi, I think its about 400:eek:

The prices here are REALLY crazy. When we tell local people how much we pay they say "wow, you got a good deal!"...when we tell northerners we pay 550 a month to have 1 little room to call home they react like you did:Dhehe

Cant wait to live in a proper house and not be ripped off!

Where abouts do you live btw?

I dunno how much our 3 bed semi is pm, we're housing association though.

I'm probably going to have to pay £90 a week for a room in halls in the first year of uni :(
I'll live in a cupboard after that!!

Btw for that price we also get drains that dont work (all our kitchen gunk comes up through our bath plughole about 5 times a day) that landlady wont get fixed, and an interfering busybody landlady whos round here every other day complaining about something!

I <3 North Yorkshire. I wouldn't mind living there if I had to live up north. I even like Lancashire now

Oddly, all the universities I applied to are down south or in wales...

the prices arnt bad, obviously in the cities it gets dearer, but can still get a house in york for about 600 pm which isnt much more than ur paying for ur room. not sure how good locations are and that though. it is pretty nice, but its bloody cold and its full of miserable yorkshire folk! we also got a garden and garage for 485 though.
