Ok, I have LESS chance of getting them, I'd rather have at least a little bit less of a chance of getting polio, diptheria, whooping cough, meningitis C, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, cervical cancer, TB etc. than having every chance of getting them.

Hmm, true.. I guess for me the downsides outweigh the upsides, since I already have natural immunity to a lot of the common ones anyway - it's been shown that the immunity you get from *having* the disease is a lot more effective than vaccination (might explain why chickenpox vaccines never caught on). It's a lot more uncomfortable though..

My mum gave up smoking a few weeks agoafter about 40 long years. Im really pleased, and shes looking and feeling great, much better, but I cant help getting a bit irked sometimes. She says it was easy and she should have all along. Kind of sucks I had to breathe it in for about 16 years as she refused to leave her chair in the living room while she did it, and she just about chain smoked. I hated living with it. It feels a bit like shes doing it for a future grandchild but didnt for me. I know its not that simple, but if only shed acknowledge she should have done it sooner or something

Still, really glad shes finally done it. Hope your dad goes ahead with it

I've got quite mixed views on it, this is about the nth time he's tried but he always gets so unbearable when he does :(
He's using one of those inhalator things though so with any luck :)

What did the big chimney say to the little chimney?

    You're too young to smoke.

Tonight is so beautiful, would have been better to do it tonight than last night I think.

Oh, a patient wants to kill me.
