Just walked into the kitchen to find our tiny bunny Luna had managed to open the fridge, drag out the potato sack so that one dropped out and eat half of it...raw, covered in soil:eek::rolleyes: Cant even get google to work to see if its a rush to the vet situation...Just HOW? Shes literally just a few inches tall, and sometimes i have trouble with that fridge and those drawers!

    Just googled it for you:
Not sure about Guinea pigs but rabbits should not eat a lot of starch as they cannot digest it properly. My son found a domestic baby rabbit in the field by our house (probably dumped after being an Easter present and the novelty wore off - some people can be so ignorant). We took him in to be neutered, and the vet said they cannot digest starches. They also cannot throw up. We've had him over 10 years now and I noticed that in some rabbit food they do include some corn kernels but not many.

Rabbits & guinea pigs should not be fed raw potato as if it is green or left in the hutch exposed to sunlght it will go green and this is poisonous. The green of a potato is the same as the poison in deadly nightshade.
Small amounts of cooked potato can be fed but only small amounts
Potato like this can be used to replace the starch found in rolled oats and flaked maize which are the major constiuents in rabbit and guinea pig foods. All vegatables contain some form of cahbohydrate which is what starch is.

Sounds to me as though if it isn't green then Luna should be ok, just might ahve a bit of diorrhea.

Eek, saying that, just found this: Poisonous Plants: Do not feed rhubarb leaves, raw potatoes, potato tops, roots and seeds of dock or grasses from roadsides where there is any possibility they have been sprayed with herbicides or insecticides

Thanx so much Ny, that was really kind:) Its true buns cant throw up, and i know theyre not supposed to have it, just wasnt sure how serious it is...just inspected offending potato and its red on the outside and yellow inside, no green, so looks like should be ok from that-thank you lots!:) Shes not showing any signs of anything at the moment except being her usual greedy over-curious self. Shes after my smoothie now:rolleyes:
