I think conspiracy theories are just the easiest way to feel like you know something that everyone else doesn't. Billy, you're nuts, but I don't need to tell you that. Everyone has realized it now except you. You're so caught up in this fantasy you can't even see how paranoid and off-base you appear. I really liked when you called aristartle a communist, that was classy. You have to try to take any new big "secrets" or self help shit on dvd with a grain of salt. Lots of salt, actually, because most of it is either paranoid bullshit or a ploy to get your money. Props to madcap and aristartle
so it was just a lucky guess by a conspiracy theorist in 2006 that spelled out exactly what was going to take place over the next 2 years?? right...
Though Obama was better than Mccain in every possible way... I dont think Obama is Progressive/Leftist/Liberal enough..... We need someone more radical, like someone from the Green Party or something.
i just have to say hippiehillbilly, that none of the stuff about shelves at the grocery store being empty, or a drastic change by January (was it supposed to be Jan?), or money becoming worthless has happened yet. but i guess you could point to subtle clues that it is/has happened. i just saw world news last night, and it was talking about the food shortage worldwide. and the USD is certainly becoming worth less, although not yet worthless. i'll admit i'm not educated on these topics, so fuck who knows??
not sure what your referring to about january. i cant recall any timeline referencing that. i talked about September for over a year before the September crash and even found a prediction of the week a month before the big drop. the timelines i have seen were for march being when folks would realize its hopeless. anyone that is studying whats going on knew this to be true long before now. then you have civil unrest breaking out this summer and at some point people like gerald celente are predicting supply disruptions leading to food shortages etc. its coming,it may be in slow motion but its coming..
Food Security however has been a growing concern for this past decade. So, I'm not sure how revolutionary the idea that our food systems are at risk is exactly.
i dont foresee anything close to that and have never said nor insinuated that. teotwawki can and most likely will happen without life becoming that extreme. any way it goes life in the new banana republic of america will be TEOTWAWKI for most..
The end of the world as we know it, haha. Well. I just hope...... well nevermind. We're gonna all be fucked eventually.
Food is not really getting more expensive, I mean it is, but most things I know have been at the same price for so long, inflation finally caught up with the food industry at a horrible timing in regards to everything else in the economy. The planet as a whole has enjoyed unusually(historically) low food prices for the past 25 years.
I just finished watching this. I had been noticing a trend of broken campaign promises from Obama ever since he was inaugurated, but this documentary seemed to take it to another level. Very interesting video I'll have to look into this more.
how many years have you been buying your own groceries and how good of records do you keep? food has kept pace with inflation for the last 20 plus years, it hasnt stayed the same prices for more than 6 months ever.i know, ive watched my grocery bill go from feeding a family on 30 dollars 20 years ago to buying only staples today and spending over that amount. inflation has hit food in a astronomical way now.if a 16 ounce product goes down to 12 ounces and the price remains the same thats a 25% increase in price. google shrinking package size of food and you will see that that is happening throughout the grocery world. we dont buy any food now besides staples, flour, beans, rice, sugar, oil and coffee, but there has been a 25% price increase on those items in the last year and thats not taking into account the fact that a 5 pound bag of rice is now 4 pounds, oil is smaller, coffee smaller . so with the governments numbers for food inflation on top of the shrinking product sizes adding another 15 to 25% increase in price thats easily a 25% increase in price over the last year on top of the incremental price increases that have been standard over my adult life. bottom line is that food over the last year has went through the roof and i think its a very disingenuous arguement to say that food prices have remained stable as if to imply they have lagged behind other sectors of inflation when that is in no way the case. dont believe me? here see for yourself. http://www.bls.gov/schedule/archives/cpi_nr.htm
