but what they learn next, isn't the truth either, but rather what people tell themselves and each other because they think it is useful to themselves to do so. the truth is a universe that is still beyond our imagining, and that trees and rocks neither lover nor hate, but the trees give them air to breathe anyway. the truth about humans, yes we invent excuses to hate and kill each other, again because some think it is useful to themselves to do so. but the truth also is that all of humans is a very very tiny part of the rest of existence. and even we CAN do better. we just tell ourselves the lie that we can't as an excuse for not doing so. no the truth, the REAL truth, is not such a terrible thing at all. only when we think each other is all that there is, that is the biggest non-truth of them all. and no, everything didn't come here from somewhere else. some things may have migrated from one place to another. but in each place, at least some things come to be in each place, in according to the unique ways of each place. yes even as places begin as they do. molton ball isn't entirely accurate either. though forces of that power affect the accretion of dust particles, transform these accretions in ways nothing living as we know life, could withstand. yet the form in orbits and in time cool. and if they are in just the right heat range of distance from their primaries, and certain other conditions prevail, in time life springs forth. and in time, when conditions are right, life that is curious comes from life, and begins to explore. and then, later still, from exploring life there springs forth life that creates. and that is us. and the us that does not look like us, on other places where this same thing has happened. places we have yet to imagine, waiting someday to mutually explore of each other, once we grow up enough, to explore and create without destroying everything that is not exactly ourselves. if such distances are possible to span. and if not. the test is still, for us to grow beyond destroying ourselves. so every mid winter, among other things, we remind ourselves that indeed, yes we can grow beyond mutual self destruction.
(To post 21)It's up to MY truth as concerns my kids when they are learning. They now have some of MY truths and many truths that they themselves have learned. I have an idea that your truth is different than mine. No matter. Your shoes wouldn't fit me and conversely mine wouldn't fit you.
to own truth is the lie of ego. what is out there is what is out there, whatever we believe or not. it doesn't care about our egos and doesn't need to. and BECAUSE it doesn't, it is able to be the wonderful mystery that it is. when we loose that growing up, it is not because we have learned a truth, but because we have convinced ourselves of a lie. the lie that we are the center of everything, and that everything is somehow about our own ego. it is BECAUSE we live in an indifferent universe, that we live in a mysterious and wonderful one. (we NEVER learn more then a tiny fraction of it, not matter how long we live. it is only our ego that tells us to tell ourselves the lie that we have.)
so true! Either something fits, or it doesn't, and I take umbrage at those who would cut off their own feet or mine to make something fit......and some are so damn sneaky and slippery....but it still will never fit..... and when it does ....that is the wonder of it all!
We're the center of nothing. Our only truths are what we can determine within the limited parameters of our experiences. What's "out there is out there" is irrefutable and ineffable. IMO, we're not much more than sacks of biological meat with a set term of remaining in this form. What's after?? Doesn't matter. We'll be "there", whatever "there" happens to be. Not to fret--many have gone before and we'll go too. Guaranteed on that one. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson in the movie=GOIN' SOUTH---" I'll be all I can be, but that's all I can be."
He starts talking about sun worshiping at about the 3 minutes mark but the whole bit is one of my most favorite ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPOfurmrjxo

0h Ill just put this here.. the girl that stabbed the other kid for the Slenderman. How can the prosecution deny her claims that the Slendeman is real, when they want her to swear to tell the truth so help you GOD?.. LOL WUT!1
It's not all bad. Christmas (Santa's Christmas ) was a celebration of the new year, as previously discussed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8GXxp1xQVE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B112iFgQOLc I haven't listened to all 7 segments of the second video, but I think it's all there on youtube if anyone has any interest.
i totally agree its not all bad. just remove the capitalism and the christerism and what's left is almost all good.
Come on now, its all bad with a little bit of good. Consumerism, obligation, debt, a holiday that is based on a lie. All bad. All bad. All badddd..aaasaaaaaaaajjjjjhuhjjjj gh fg in .uk rd v Jim uhhjhjhhh
i prefer my glass half full to half empty. that's not denying that the empty half is empty, its just also not denying that the half full part is also half full. seeing only the empty half is not more being real, then seeing only the full. whatever anyone else says their midwinter is for and about, mine is still about the magic of snow on the ground, the smell of pine needles, good things to eat and peace. sky god or no sky god, things or no things.
Both of my favorite FM music stations are now playing Christmas music 24/7 - It's only the 5th and I already can't stand it :bomb: Thank God for Sports Talk Radio Willie J "The Wimp" Stokes Former Drug Dealer & Master Pimp Hotwater
