Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan was excellent
Star Trek: The Search for Spock was good
Star Trek: The Voyage Home was excellent
Star Trek: The Final Frontier was average
Star Trek; The Undiscovered Country was average

Star Trek: Generations was Good
Star Trek: First Contact was excellent
Star Trek: Insurrection was excellent
Star Trek: Nemesis was good

Star Trek: (newly cast) was Excellent
Star Trek: into Darkness was good
Star Trek: Beyond – to be determined

I agree that First contact and the new self titled Star trek are the highlights :cheers2: Into darkness was a bit of a disappointment for me.

Every reboot of a series that ended before 1990 is utter garbage by default.
...unless of course the reboot is pre-1990 as well.

LOL, you are so clueless..
It is a fan based production made as an homage to the original series.
what you view as "stealing" others view as appreciating and continuing the story in that time period.
In actuality it is pretty damn good considering it is done by "amateurs".
I guess all the awards it has already garnered and endorsement from Roddenberries family and others involved with the real show is all bullshit too.
plus it is all non-profit, so technically they didn't steal a damn thing and the shit you think is stolen is being used with the blessings and permission of the copyright owners.....DUH.
I'm thinking with the number of people involved with it who were involved with the "real" shows would also clue you in to the fact that it isn't "stolen" anything and is actually supported by many you claim they stole stuff from.

hell, even Worf and Deanna Troy are on the show.

fuckin' clueless......

I really wish someone would invent a time machine so you can go back to 1979 and then the rest of us wouldn't be subjected to your endless luddite whining.

Average? The Undiscovered country is my favourite.

A Sherlock who dunnit storyline combined with action and Klingons and the dad from the Sound of Music playing the baddie. One of those rare films where every scene is a winner.

And Nemesis was good? Was total garbage. Was totally ridiculous having Tom hardy at that stage play the baddie. Totally shit movie.

Didn't know that. Glad to hear.

That still leaves the possibility of him going to post on here after 20 years. I would go for a little certainty and send him back a few centuries further :D

the cast isn't that shabby. A mix of amateurs and pros.
Heck, Grant from Mythbusters is a regular crew member, not that he is some great acting talent.

I recognize about a third of those people from other shows/movies.
and the production crew is the same mix of pros and amateurs.

So dudes ideas that this is some shady production that stole everything is lame.

I just watched wrath of khan last night and insurrection the night before. I did not like wrath of khan but was impressed with how much they knew about computers in 1982.

SUV that rolled, killed 'Star Trek' actor was under recall

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The SUV that rolled down a driveway and killed "Star Trek" actor Anton Yelchin was being recalled because the gear shifters have confused drivers, causing the vehicles to roll away unexpectedly, government records show.

Yelchin, 27, a rising actor best known for playing Chekov in the rebooted series, died Sunday after his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee pinned him against a mailbox pillar and security fence at his home, Los Angeles police said.

The 2015 model-year Grand Cherokees were part of a global recall of 1.1 million vehicles announced by automaker Fiat Chrysler in April, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration records show.

That third star trek movie, Beyond was hard to get through

I think I may have outgrown star trek actually. The story line of that movie was more like a tv ep, and I realised, I don't see how they are going to make fresh episode too disimilar from the what, 400 or so we have on back catalogue from the original series through to angry Bakula

I felt kind of the same after the second one. But no clue about the third one yet. Looking forward to taking notice of it, but without any great expectations.

I didnt like the original series anyway, so a rehash ...well, gets old quickly, Only watched the second one because it had Cumberbuns in it

Plus the Walking Dead / Game of thrones combo has kind of killed all other serial TV for me, hard to go back to PG13 after those two, I need edgier

Since this new trek is sort of a cable TV show, maybe it might be more graphic, but I doubt it
