I like looking through their catalogue. They have really inventive storage ideas. Mine though is in a magazine basket......
I also find a lot of good ideas for the kitchen in there. I have a friend who used their patterns to have drawers all fitted in her renovated kitchen and it was really something. Increased her storage room and organization.
Ha, my daughter likes to look through the ikea catalogue while sitting on her potty. Ikea is pretty awesome, I'm not a fan of their furniture but let me loose in the marketplace area and I go a little crazy. I can't resist cheap tupperware, cake tins, table mats, candle holders...
I've never really been to an Ikea or looked at their catalog before but after reading this thread I decided to visit their website, and I realized I must stay away or I could spend entirely too much money. I really like their rugs.
The nearest Ikea is all the way in Denver, but when I visit my friends and family in Colorado, we almost always stop there. It's over simulation for me, and I always have the urge to take a nap in the bedroom department halfway through shopping. They do have some cool stuff though.
^ I definately know that feeling. On the other hand, I generally feel like taking a nap after clothes shopping for an hour too.
The nearest Ikea from me is about a half an hour drive. That place is intense. I like to say it's kind of like disneyland, at least the parking lot is. So fun and lots of cool furniture inside the store. There's even a huge cafe. People can spend hours and hours and hours in that place... especially if they get lost and keep walking in circles and can't find the exit, which I have done on a couple of different occasions.. I've gotten a couple of things from there and I'd like to get more. My favorite is the lime green crib I bought that I've used for both of my daughters. They have cute baby things.
I have no idea where the nearest Ikea is. I just looked it up. Dallas. That's a 6 hour drive. I'm not that desperate to see what it's all about.
I Love Ikea.. Closest one to me is in Philly about an hour and a half away. I make it there about once a year.. I used to get the catalog but strangely I dont think I get it anymore...
