Some douchbag on youtube replied to one of my comments with some green BS about LED bulbs being 90% efficient, and I tore him a new hole via the medium of SCIENCE and pointed out that LED bulbs are actually more like 10% efficient and are pretty much on a par with much cheaper / simpler / not needing a whole new industryer LPMV fluorescents, and now youtube wont let me post the comment just "error, try again later" for no fucking reason.

Fucking youtube perpetuating industrial greenwash bullshit.

My new skateboard showed up in the mail today at work. :2thumbsup: It made a 7 hour shift no problem knowing I was about to take home a sweet ass piece of wood. Pictars to come in the near future.

Does any one here know if Red Cedar would be safe to wear as plugs for my ears?
my dad's fried dropped round a heap of wood, and there were a few pieces of red cedar so I've made some earrings out of it since it's a lovely wood.

I've got one in atm so I'll just keep an eye out.

I normally just rub a little olive oil into them since we don't have anything else at home. That wouldn't seal it though would it?

NO DON'T USE WA-- oh wait we're not talking about dreads... :D

Olive oil might be sufficient if you apply it often enough? I've nto used beeswax before but sounds sane

Well I take my plugs out to massage my ears with a bit of olive oil too most nights, and rub a little into the plugs then also so they go in easier. So they would get it often yeah

Check online to see if there is a site that tells you if there are any toxins in types of wood. If not, either coat it with wood varnish (I think that'd be ok for plugs- ask the hardware store people). Or you could skip both these steps, and try them out for a couple of days. I have a spiral made from sort sort of wood and it gives me a bumpy itchy rash, it goes after a couple of days when I take the spiral out.

Macbooks are sexy. I've been peeking into the apple shop and the mac screens are soooo nice. I'm tempted to save up for one xD

Today I bought trousers from an actual shop. They actually fit. They make my lengs look sooo long!! They were on sale too, bloody awesome luck I found them. I always buy my trousers from ebay.. I haven't bought trousers from a shop in..4 or 5 ish years? XD Crazy.

Yeah baby! I absolutely love mine and I'm so glad that I could get it (long story).

Do the trousers from ebay always fit you? I'm having trouble with sizing, stuff bought online usually looks ridiculous on me :/

I think I've bought.. 5 pairs so far, and 3 of them are now the only trousers I wear :D I have measurements of the trousers that fit me perfectly, and I ask the seller to measure the trousers they are selling. The bits I measure are usually the front (waist band to crotch hem) back (same again) leg length and the width of the bottom of the leg. By these measurements I can almost garentee they will fit :D A couple I have got wrong, granted, but I think they were only a couple of quid so I wasn't too precious with the measurements and I bothered that they didn't fit ^^ Cheap trousers that don't fit get chucked into my "make into skirts" pile :)

Aw, so you're one of the creative people then! Nice :)

As for Macbooks - I got mine rather cheaply, basically traded my old laptop for it, so here the money argument goes. Just out of curiosity - how are they a waste of time any more than a laptop made by any other company?

And I do love it. My PC and my previous laptops kept freezing and breaking on me literally ALL the time. I'm one of those people who sit next to a machine and it breaks down. I've had a Macbook for a bit over a year now and had absolutely no problems with it. I very much enjoy working like that, without trying to fight the equipment.

well I'm not like a mac fan, I just want a change, I'm tired of my old
windows and I wanna try something different. And the money I would spend
on the mac is not that different from the money I spent on my notebook so
that's not really an issue for me.

in other news, I was supossed to be at work an hour ago
instead I'm in my pijamas drinking hot coffee
I'm still working though, just from the comfort of my
    home :D
