One thing I will say is that it's rather curious that some people on the forums appear to be immune from any sort of disciplinary action, regardless of how many times they go against the guidelines which are selectively enforced. I didn't report this or any of the other threads Balbus has made attacking me, because I believe in Balbus' right to free speech, even if it is only to attack me. Balbus only discredits himself and makes himself look foolish. However, as I stated previously, it seems that the rules here are only selectively enforced, as I know there have been people that reported this thread for its guideline violations, yet it remains, as does the other. If the person who enforces the guidelines has no problem with this sort of nonsense taking up bandwidth, why should I let it bother me? It's just rather unfortunate seeing others banned for not even breaking any rules.

 

As much as I disagree with the guy, this thread seems obsessive and spamish.

you know, pressed, I don't think you understand what free speech entails. The hip forums is not the government. it is a community you join voluntarily and when you do, you agree to certain rules. Enforcing the rules is part of the free speech rights we all share.

On Rats alternate days of posting it holds up ok, I 'spose.

Your attitude has gotten old very fast also. I don't know how long you have been coming here, but I have been coming here since 1999. Yes, it says 2004 under my avatar, but that was simply the start of the new forums. So I know how this place works.

The fact is, like with the government itself, I have no say when it comes to how things are run here. Like the government and all the corrupt politicians, the moderators here are allowed to get away with things that most people would not. Balbus' constant attacks on my character prove this. But I am so used to it that it doesn't even faze me anymore.

Rat, I am giving you a good reason to just report the thread and shut it down since it is clearly not useful and is nothing but a lame flame war. Or put Odon on ignore if that doesn't work. He will quickly lose interest. That's what I did with Fyrenza.

The fact that you are not interested in making it go away because it violates forum rules is evidence to me that you like the attention. Don't give us "free speech" crap.

We have rules here, seniority is not recognized, and none of this discussion needs to happen. So just report it and get it over with. Don't come on this thread and mix it up.
