sometimes slacker.com
or songza.com
or here's a SHITLOAD of sites, most of which i haven't used http://populair.eu/music/
and i just download a little to put on my mp3

 

I've been listening to Pandora all summer. I fuckin love it.
I'm listening to it right now! Haha

 

Pandora is cool, I don't use it as much as I should. And a music blog is a place where you can d/l albums and if they are any good they will have mini reviews or at least a description of the band. It's convenient because if you can think of an album you want to download it's most likely on a blog somewhere. Mainstream releases are a little harder to comeby because the hosting services tend to remove them faster. http://spreadingneurotoxins.blogspot.com/ and http://lightsnevershine.blogspot.com/ are examples. They are usually genre / scene specific but sometimes you get 'shit i like' blogs.

Its an asinine way off trying to fight the unwinnable fight to say the least.

There's nothing the big corps can do now, but has anyone notice the distinct lack of breakthrough acts in the last decade since downloading became the norm. Nowadays we get the likes of LadyGaGa a generic brand Madonna and there havent been any world conquering rock bands since the 90s, could list some great bands yes but none are getting super famous
