Also, come one guys, any of you that have said that American Idol is ''destroying" music, that's about rediculous. First of all, there are alot of pop singers out there that have already damaged the rep of their genre, but that doesn't mean it's all bad. There are some amazing singers on AI as well, and maybe you guys would realize that if you took your heads out of your asses and actualy watch it with an open mind before attacking it. Cheers KC, I'm glad you guys are enjoying it.
KC - completely agreed on both counts. The rocker guy ("Douchebag #3" in our house) was good, which just irritated me because I enjoy hating him. And you just know Dread Boy is incredibly nice, and if you got drunk and hit on him at a party he'd turn you down gently by saying "You're a wonderful person and a special friend, but I have a girlfriend who I love very much," hold your hair later while you puked, and then do you the favor of pretending none of it ever happened the next day. It probably stops raining when he feels like sitting under a tree and playing guitar, too. I hope he gets hit by a bus. As soon as I'm done voting for him. (I voted for three different people last night, but that doesn't make me a dork at all.)
holy shit, I KNOW. i cant stand dread boy, because his eyelashes and perfect complexion are too perfectly lush and clear. and the gay boy looks like angelina jolie. i like him for being so flaming, but hes not that good.
There is no real talent on American Idol... just people with poppy generic voices. The winner of American Idol always sucks, everything about it sucks. If a decent act ever comes on, it gets rejected by the crazy fans who are idiots themselves. It's a terrible show and it serves no useful purpose just like most of the shit on TV. Mind-numbing entertainment with terrible singing.
Au contraire, Sir Rubin, it is HIGHLY important. For example: What if you wanted to know what the douchiest hair of all time was? How would you find out? Well, I would just flip on American Idol and instantly have a whole variety show displaying the full range of every douchey hair style imaginable. Black girl douchiness, white boy douchiness, Paula Abdul...it's a douche cornucopia! I'm just saying that some of us have a rich education in douchehair, while you are obviously sorely lacking.
Fucking cancer curer. Anyway...that Irish girl with the tattoos is so much better than all the rest of the girls that it's like they're not in the same competition.
Pavel, I usually agree with everything you say, and I do respect and even understand your point on this, but I have to disagree. There are a few very talented performers on the show, this year has some of the best, and there are some that just slipped through the cracks. There is a good deal of fluff on the show, but if you learn to look past it, there are some amazing singers, and overall, the show is very enjoyable. It's more about the interaction than anything else, really. I used to say the same things as you the first two years it was on, but I have been a fan since I first watched it, about four years ago. My whole family watches it, and many of us get together to watch and discuss what's going on from week to week. It's kind of a focal point to us. It brings alot of people together, and for me, that is the greatest part of all.
did you even listen to memory almost full? an entire disc of PURE GARBAGE. its terrible. and driving rain wasn't too good, either, though it was better. and apart from that, i understand that many popular musicians today charge this much, but whether its common or not doesnt mean its not still fucking criminal to charge hundreds of dollars for a concert ticket....especially one that doesn't even last all day!! if the lousy music and outrageous conceit (as evidenced by ticket prices...seems he must think his shit dont stink) werent enough to dislike him, how about even something as simple as the images from his last album??? DOUCHEBAG! [uninteresting sidenote: my former coworkers and i had a douchebag lookalike contest in which all of us tried to replicate this pose for a polaroid and see who could mimic it the best. i didnt win] now i will never claim that he is talentless, just like i would never say that about john lennon. but in my opinion, he is FAR past his prime. he made some amazing music with the beatles, and even after (i love the album "ram") but recently his albums have been god awful. its not just that his stuff now is so bad and he charges so much for his concerts....its that his stuff used to be so good, and now its so bad. its like adding insult to injury.
Ha ha ha Nesta listened to "Memory Almost Full". Arguing about whether Idol is trash or not is totally pointless. Of course it's trash! Of course some of the people on it can sing! It's a matter of taste. I like it. (Also, I have bad taste.) Madcrappie...huh? I don't get the question. Hallelujah was the song that Dread Boy sang, if that's what you're asking.
believe it or not, and i dont want to go into it, but i was essentially forced to. multiple times. the whistling haunts my nightmares still
Paul McCartney is a genious, you can't deny the quality of his past work even if you hate his new stuff. He is still an amazing artist nonetheless.
Seriously, I find it hilarious that you guys hate him so much, but to each his own. He's a great, genuine person, as were all the beatles, but I can see how some folks might be taken aback by his ego. As for the high ticket prices, I won't disagree with you there, they are pretty steep. But then, there are alot of people that would pay that much to see him in concert-I doubt I would for the cost, but who knows? I would pay as much to see the stones, so it's all in the eye of the beholder.
