I use a bluetooth speaker with a mic jack that I plug my guitar into. I've done this many times when I didn't have a band, and the arrangement doesn't work for clubs. However, it is ideal for small venues, such as cafes, living rooms, bookstores and art galleries where the objective is not for loud competitive playing. It is highly portable and can be played on the spot anywhere, so long as it is legal for you to do so. This was a few years ago and I was just begining to perfect my sound.
I had backing vocals mixed into this one, but that kind of takes away the illusion of "one man band." Now I render any backing vocals into vocoder so it sounds too funky and wierd to be a stand in for live singers.
