The modern Documentary is a dead medium

Hi, I'm desperately searching for the famous film maker who made this statement:

“The modern Documentary is a dead medium. It contributes little
to nothing towards the argument on the human condition and
while there are a number of people who are interested in making
them, few are interested in watching them and even fewer are
affected by them. What can a documentary say about our society
that hasn’t already been said before? And these films are just
manipulated by the bias of the film maker, we see the world
through their eyes, therefore, there is no objectivity, there is no
“truth”.

Agree. Whoever he is--he's wrong. Many issues need documented. Wonder how much this 'famous movie maker's' creations depict anything worthwhile.

 

Wonder if he/she exists. If you google this shit you get zip.

 

The guys obviously a dis-disgruntled ex-film documentary maker. lol
