festival food favorites....what do you bring to stay fed? ramen veggie burgers sardines crackers rice veggies fruits
If we can cook, jerk chicken, shrimp, all kinds of grillables. Cheese quesadilla makings...I pre-stir-fry the veggies and bring shredded cheese so it's fast and easy. The margarine that you squeeze out of a bottle comes in handy too. Tuna salad, premade in a tupperware and stored in a cooler with bread and crackers is great for fast no-cook meals. Granvola bars and other munchies have their place too. We usually eat at least one meal from vendors though, I love to try new stuff.
well, we have gotten in a rut....the staples are: mac and cheese (boiling water only necessary); hot dogs, sloppy joe (stuff in a can, add fried red meat ); breakfast food is the most important--bacon, instant pancake mix, sausage links, eggs. i don't want to spend all my time cooking and cleaning up, so we hope there are venders with burittos, beans and rice, etc. usually can find someone selling "brownies" or "goo balls" for the sweet tooth.
If we can have a fire~ corn on the cob foil packs of veggies (like potatoes,peppers,onions,etc..w/garlic/butter) mountain pies potatoes If we gotta use our lil coleman stove~ grilled cheese/garlic/tomato sandwiches spaghetti packaged rice/that type of stuff you just add water too quesadillas veggie stir fry mmmmm also~ premade veggie burritos fruits granola tortilla chips other random lil munchies But i also love tryin out vendors' foods... usually its a bit expensive tho and not nearly as good as you expect...sometimes i get lucky tho and get free food after talkin withem for a while... my favorite food from vendors that was cheap n good was a baked potato vendor that had tons of fixings for your potato and it was only like 2 or 3$ and another one had hugeass slices of pizza that was super good for $2
