The Medical Definition of 'Pain'.

    Pain is one thing. But it is very different from suffering. I think I read that over 30 years ago now. It said that Opioids don't really eliminate your pain. They just change your emotional reaction to it. I guess there's really no drug that can take away all pain, short of putting you under.

    One doctor on another message board said two men will say that they are in unbearable pain. And they are feeling the exact same voltage of pain, so to speak. But as one says that he is smiling pleasantly in his office And the other is writhing in pain on the floor as he bites skin off his arm to distract himself.

    The point is it is how you deal with it too that really defines pain.
