You have lovely eyes Noela. I used to want a place in history too. I figured if I couldn't live on in memory, life would be pointless or something. Now I've decided that life is pointless other than the point you can give it. What new ideas do you want to impart?
I'm not a huge fan of the "place in history" concept. My place in history can't experience itself so it isn't that much worth as far as I'm concerned. The same goes with the knowledge I impart to future generations. I can see why one would be attracted to the idea, but I prefer to be primarily concerned with the here and now; whatever experience we can cram into the tiny spaces we call our lives.
well place in history doesn't have to mean books. it can mean a family, a written test you did and aced it, criminal records, a proven existence. everyone has their part in it, no matter how lazy you are.
So you want to do your part in shaping the world, right? What do you want to shape, is what I'm asking.
its kind of funny, because im a history major student. im dreaming of the past in every moment, and at this point im not quite sure. i am a dancer too, i love to entertain people. I have yet to find love. Im just living a life, and experiencing it with other people. when i know what i want to shape, ill let you know what about you
I want people to look upon what I create and be moved like I'm moved when I pour my soul into a film.
42 Just read your post stating you've heard that one before. Idk, I just try to make sure I still like myself every morning. Don't ponder it too much, you'll hurt your brain. Or, about a zillion religions claim to have the answer... If you buy that.
the meaning of life is obviously going to vary from person to person... just like morality does or whatever else personally i don't find any meaning in life. i just live it and try to enjoy it, but even when i'm not enjoying it, i still appreciate it. it's all i have so what the hell.
The meaning of life is definately not being a pseudo-philosopher who asks a stupid questions like this. Why should there be a meaning to life? Do mice think about the meaning of life? No, us stupid institutionalised humanoids need to put an meaning to it, so our puny, pathetic, worthless, meaningless lives feel less empty.
The meaning of life is to make more life, be happy and be better than the next guy. And Thrash Metal!
There isn't one. And the sooner we all realise and embrace that the better off we'll all be. The ones who can't handle will...well you know...that's natural selection. Then we'll all have a little more leg room
That's what I think. If you're asking for individual's meaning of life, mine would be... To see as much as I can see, to learn as much as I can learn, and to leave a lasting impression on as many people as possible. That's what I want. Humans, as a collective.. The meaning of human life? I don't know what the hell God was thinking. I didn't get one bit of that.
