Yeah, I was trying to figure out how people would be born, grow old and die all in the same decade that the matrix is situated around without ever noticing.
Well, if your memories were perpetually being rewritten...you'd always think it was a brand new, fresh day. Even if it was just an exact duplicate. Perhaps each 'crop' was given an appropriate amount of time to live through matrix...and once that crop had expired, it was 'rolled back' for the next as they aged...never quite getting past the early 2000's.
I love this movie...I watched all sequel of Matrix...Neo is the ONE...I like the last part but unfortunately Trinity died...sad.... DVD CORNER AMAZING TV SHOWS
i didn't have the opportunity to watch all sequel.. but i watch the sequel where Trinity died.. it's really so sad=(
I LOVED Matrix 1 because it had all the neat references to the power of the mind, but number 2 and 3 didn't really blow me away.
yeah, you're right,.. The Matrix was based on the knowledge of the total self-control and the psychological perfection, and there are lots of hidden meanings and influential phylosophies from past eras. The sequels were just an expansion of these ideas.
best trilogy ever, IMO. star wars didn't even have the INTENSE philosophical undertones. To dive through the Matrix and understand what each character and action represents, is a understanding of how the Matrix and Neo are an analogy for Prophetic history since civilization was formed. heres a good site that explains it a bit, http://www.the-trukstop.com/articles/2008/matrix.html the 2nd and 3rd movies are essential to completing the wachowski brothers analogy. I feel your missing the point of the Matrix if you ignore the last two movies. Without them, the first movie has less depth. but yea, The Wachowski brothers are fuckking brilliant!
I had to make sure this wasn't my own post. my sentiments exactly. what a piece of shit the second one was, didn't watch the third and from what I hear I'm not missin' much. if they need a website to explain a movie, they didn't do a good job on it.
Everyone says the last 2 were crap... i think they were actually brilliant. I dont get what the big deal is?
well, not necessarily. If a movie has an layer of subplot that deals with Marxism, your not going to understand the movie if you have never read up on Marx. same goes with philosophy of religion. ...the last two were brilliant as well.
Everyone loves the first one. The other two were good, but I believe the first one set such a high bar they were considered crap after by most people.
