I just watched this movie last night, has anyone seen it?? Fucking insane, man. It's a real mind blower, for fucking sure. And it's crazy, that Christian Bale fucking dropped down to 120-something pounds for the role. And then, right after, beefed himself back up for his role in the new Batman movie. Heart-attack supreme, coming his way... Anyways, the movie's fucked up. Any thoughts?
yea ive been following the movie since it was announced, though due to its limited release i never got to see it, having trouble finding it. its amazing though, christian bale was incredibly skinny, and 3 months later he buffed out like crazy for batman begins.
I loved the movie the way it all comes together so clear is amazing alot of really confusing and twisty movies don't clear up that fast like Trauma for instance but yeah, great movie
Ohh Yeah!! That 'fun-house' scene in the amusment park!!! That was one of the most intense scenes that I haver seen in a film. I've seen alot of films, thousands. Definitely see this one when your high! It'll make total sense! I didn't get to stay till the end!! I'll have to watch it again sooon.
I would rather watch Oprah over, and over than watch that boring, drawn-out, lacking total substance, very predictable, unoriginal cheap rip off of every other insomnia movie, ever again. Christian Bale did a swell job though. It was everything else that totally sucked.
Excellent film ... really disorientating and unsettling, the photography at times was stunning, and the Route 666 scene as someone else mentioned was fantastic. Bale was superb as was Jennifer Jason Leigh, and I must say it's always a bonus when she gets her boobs out in a film. Personally I think the ending was a bit too neat and quick ... and I might be being dim but I'm not exactly sure I ever worked out who "Ivan" was ...
Oh and great to see Anna Massey in it as Mrs Shrike the landlady, since she had a role in one of the best films ever made, "Peeping Tom" in 1960...
I haven't seen the movie yet. Maybe I'll rent it over the weekend. I saw on tv that Christian Bale didn't want to use special effects so he lost a lot of pounds. That's one heck of a great actor!! I loved him on Batman too...
Meh, I was thinking his conscience, but that seemed a bit weak ... all the "I know who you are!" stuff made me think it might actually be another character from somewhere - like the mother of the hit and run boy turned into the coffee shop waitress in his mind. Oh well.
