It was okay. Some funny bits. I love Christina Ricci.

The scene from the top right was particularly chilling

  7. Today it was Robot and Frank.
    Robot & Frank (2012) - IMDb

This is billed as a Comedy, Drama, Science Fiction. It's set in a nearish future with an aging former burglar who is supplied with an unwanted robot "butler" that turns out to be more. I can only imagine what I'll be trying to get my robot to do some day, probably gardening!

The movie had great atmosphere throughout and it was great to see John Carpenter pay homage to The Thing from Another World (1951)
only to go on and direct his own version of The Thing in 1982

Atmosphere was definitely something the movie had going for it, though the mountains, palm trees, and Santa Ana winds of "Illinois" sometimes broke the illusion for me ;)

Anyway, I saw the new one last night. Oh my God, that one was just too much. That was way too intense for me.

I tried to watch this movie, but I don't go all in for horror, or whatever genre it's supposed to be. I guess I thought it would be cool for having Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro, and Elizabeth Olsen in it. It's about supernatural phenomena. I slept through almost all of it, it gave me bad dreams... so I turned it off. :worried:
