I'm having a Samuel Adams after a number of Atlanta, Ga. outlets removed it from their shelves until after the Super Bowl
If you had a New England style IPA you might feel differently about hoppy beers, as they emphasize the more floral, earthy and juicy aspects of hops as opposed to being simply bitter. There are so many different types of hops. Some are pine-like, dank and resinous, some are juice-like and fruity, and some have a smell all of their own. SImcoe hops have been described by some as smelling like cat piss. As far as sours, if you can get ahold of Cascade's Apricot Ale, grab it. It is pretty much the best sour I have ever had. It's expensive, but worth it.
I am now drinking Tangerine Express IPA by Stone. According to the bottle it is "an India Pale Ale packed with whole tangerine & pineapple." I picked up this beer because it was only $4.99 for the 22 oz. bottle. Stone's beers, especially their IPAs, are pretty hit or miss. 6.7% ABV Bottled 1/12/17. Pours a clear orange color with a small amount of head and little retention. Aroma is of tangerine, pineapple, earthy hops and some bready malts. Flavor is much the same, with a sweet, juicy tangerine character at the front of the tongue, along with some pineapple, orange zest and pine. This gives away to a sweet, bready, caramel malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium-light and crisp with a semi-dry finish and moderate carbonation. A decent beer, but nothing I would buy again. Overall rating: B/B+
Mass is home to perhaps the greatest brewery in the world. Why anyone would want to drink Sam Adams is beyond me.
You changed yer avatar pic! On one hand, I'll miss it... on the other hand, I'll stop confusibng you with someone on a different forum who used to use the same pic you had been using
the local store ran out of the new belgium that were on sale but still had the flying dog. the uno is ok. i must have got a bad batch the first time i had it...or maybe it needs to be aged. either way i take back what i said about it. it is no longer one of the worst beers i have had. in no way is it good...just not bad.

have you tried lots of the locals there ori? i know churchworks was the big one when my friend lived in town. it was not that great. a nice environment but the beer was below average
ive had a few churchworks, and rivertowne brews. ive had the helltown before on tap. its was the harvest, it was ok too.. im not big enough fan of beer to really know much about the brewery themselves..
Highland Brewing Mandarina Orange One review i read described the smell as succulent orange layered over biscuit with a hint of cracker Lol. Beer reviews provide me so much enjoyment
